If you fancy exploring Sintra at your own leisure without depending on public transport, we suggest hiring an e-car! We propose beginning at 10.00 AM. Depending on your starting time, we recommend visiting at least two landmarks. Using the E-Car, you’ll be able to explore either the interior or exterior of monuments like Quinta da Regaleira, Palácio de Seteais, Palácio de Monserrate, and Sintra’s shoreline where you’ll encounter Cabo da Roca. The rugged cliffs of Cabo de Roca were believed to be the end of the world until the 14th century ended. At Cabo da Roca, you’ll also discover the oldest lighthouse in Portugal, inaugurated in 1772, and a souvenir shop. If you’re keen on unusual or distinctive keepsakes, you can purchase a certificate testifying your visit to the westernmost point of the continent, previously thought to be the end of the known world.
