Fun Day - Very choppy waters going to St Barth! Be prepared with Dramamine. Also, if you want to visit beach clubs make sure you have reservations in advance! Shops close from 1-3. Great trip over all.

No signage of where to go - The entire process on-line was great. The process of finding the location where the boat was to leave was not so good. Once we arrived via taxi, there were no signs on where to go. There were a lot of people looking also. Not user friendly.

Tour guide - It would be helpful to know that you need a tour guide on the other side. You may need a rental car to get around.

Tour of St. Barthelémy and Gustavia - St. Barts official name is St. Barthelémy with Gustavia its capital. Columbus arrived here in 1493 he named the island after his brother Bartheléméo. It was then settled by some determined Huguenots from Normandy and who persevered and prospered. In 1784 the French buccaneers used the island as a base to plunder the Spanish galleons. In 1784 France traded the Island to Sweden & the capital was named after the King Gustav III. The 1970’ & 1980’s brought spectacular super yachts by the rich and famous. An attestation to that is the main street (the only one lining the harbour) where all London’s Bond Street fashion house, prestigious Swiss watch and French jewellery houses, expensive restaurants and exceedingly fine wine and spirit shop are located. An intimate trip of about three hours took us around the island to visit some interesting places. The first was a visit was to the Bay St Jean passing over D209/D212 junction which overlooked the airport. Following the road round to the Bay of St Jean the the coastal road which lead to L’orient. Grand du Cul de Sac and Toini. Following the route past the beach at Grand Fond where swimming is not recommended, because of the many rocks, travelled on through Grand Fond. Through Lurin and back to the harbour. The lush & verdant island is nice place to relax with all the amenities of creature comfort available in Guravia.

Terrible and very risky!!! - It is a crime that the ship was sent out to sea with passengers after being damaged without being inspected, and that no evacuation was provided, the ship was not checked for leaks or other damage. The captain did not stop the ship, and instead of inspecting it, he took the passengers out to sea, deliberately concealing the accident and cursing the entire journey, which took 4 hours instead of 1.5 hours. The ship was constantly tilting to the right and was not responding to the captain's commands, and the 4-hour journey was filled with intense rocking and fear, as we were certain that we would drown. Me and my wife were scary for 4 hour as the company Aqua mania did not stop the broken boat and kept us under the risk of drowning 4 hours. We ask to initiate a criminal case, secure a damaged vessel “Edge II” belonged to Aqua mania adventures those office at the lobby of the hotel. The vessel is now at a pier of Simpson bay resort hotel to let to collect all the evidences of the crime committed towards us. Yesterday In Saba’s port at 15:15 approx, in calm water the captain of the vessel crushed the vessel directly to the concrete pier, driving it forward toward the pier. The right vessel’s leg was broken. The reckless captain did not report it to the police and moved out from the place of the accident. Doing so he voluntarily put all the group of people under the risk of drowning and death as the damage was so severe that vessel could not be operated with the passengers on board. The leg of the vessel was completely broken 1,5 meters long. As a result the boat can not be stabilized and equalized while driving with a risk of capsizing. So he reduced a speed and we reached St.Maarten in 4 hours only at 19:15. People life’s were jeopardized. I ask a police forces to inform the General investigator office about the accident to allow legally to initiate a criminal case and to involve the Turism department as it must concern about the safety of tourists that was jeopardized by Aqua mania adventures.
