  • Gwangyang Maehwa Village - Following the Seomjingang River flowing down the outskirts of Jirisan Mountain is a village filled with plum trees. This village, Seomjin Village, is also known as the Maehwa (plum) Village for its abundant number of plum trees. Instead of crops and grains, plum trees are cultivated on farmlands, boasting white snow-like blossoms in March and bearing plentiful ripen plums in June. The annual Plum Blossom Festival takes place in the village every March when the plum blossoms are in full bloom.
  • Jeonju Hanok Village - Jeonju Hanok Village is located in the city of Jeonju and there are over 800 traditional Korean hanok houses. Hanok Village retains its historical charms and traditions. This village is especially beautiful for its unique roof edges which are slightly raised to the sky. With Korean traditional house, you can enjoy Korean traditional food such as bibimbap, dduck galbi, and noodles as well as various delicious snacks such as ice creams, Jeonju Choco Pie, cheese chicken bbq, and so on. You can also borrow and wear Hanbok and walk around there.

At the onset of spring, Maehwa (Plum) blossoms burst into full bloom, blanketing the village in a spectacle akin to white snow. This picturesque landscape is further accentuated by the Seomjin River. Make sure to capture the breathtaking view surrounded by these white blooms.

Fun road trip with Luke - Went on Gwangyang Maehwa festival with Luke. He is punctual and gives good advice on popular food and famous places to take photos. Enjoyed the road trip and will recommend.
