The journey begins in the tranquil intercoastal waters near Turtle Beach on Siesta Key. This eco-tour leads through picturesque canals and into the mangrove islands of the Jim Neville Preserve. Be on the lookout for dolphins and manatees feeding nearby, and watch for ospreys, bald eagles, and cormorants soaring above. With fish leaping around, there’s always something captivating as you paddle through the mangrove islands.
Midnight Pass naturally reopened after consecutive hurricanes last year, enhancing the area with remarkable water clarity, reminiscent of the Bahamas. Depending on the day’s conditions, your knowledgeable guide will select the perfect stop: either a beautiful beach or a breathtaking new sandbar with crystal-clear Gulf of Mexico waters. Both locations are perfect for a break and to enjoy the stunning views.
This tour is family-friendly and safe: Children 10 and under ride in tandem kayaks with an adult. Our skilled guides assess conditions and select the safest route. All skill levels are welcome.

Located only a few miles from the main Siesta Key beach, Turtle Beach is easily accessible via the Sarasota County trolley, which conveniently drops visitors off right at the site. This area is not only stunning and serene, but it also offers fantastic opportunities for paddling!
The adventure begins on the intercoastal waterway, paddling down a brief canal to reach the Bay. Paddlers can explore the mangrove islands, navigate through a couple of mangrove tunnels, and glide alongside a bird rookery.
The journey continues around the mangrove islands of Jim Neville Marine Preserve, leading to a “secret” beach. Accessible only by boat, this secluded spot often offers a private retreat, perfect for a refreshing swim or a peaceful pause. It’s so inviting, one might be tempted to linger all day.
This area is a haven for diverse wildlife, including manatees (when the water is warm enough), dolphins, stunning sea and shorebirds, and an abundance of fish.
