Highlights
  • Myakka Canopy Walkway - The Myakka Canopy Walkway provides easy access to observe life in the treetops of an oak/palm hammock. As an outdoor laboratory for research and education, it is also a place for discovery and provides an opportunity for visitors to see canopy inhabitants up close. Completed in 2000, this structure is the first public treetop trail in North America.

The walkway is suspended 25 feet above the ground and extends 100 feet through the hammock canopy. The taller tower soars 74 feet in the air to present a spectacular view of treetops, wetlands and the prairie/hammock interface. You can look down on eagles, hawks, vultures, and the tops of live oak and sabal palm trees.

An Absolute Must Do - We were all very excited to take our tour earlier today after seeing so many great reviews and photos. Happy to report that we are adding our own 5 star review to the growing list. Jack was a very knowledgeable guide and his four-legged copilot Odie was an adorable companion. Jack and Mark fitted the three of us and the other 17 in our travelling party with the right bikes, which were easy to operate though on the heavy side, so be forewarned when at a full stop. They were attentive as well to everyone's needs in the group, deftly handling a couple of unfortunate mishaps on the tour. We never felt rushed and were steered away from traffic while taking in the magnificent landscape of flora, fauna and various animals including copious alligator sightings. The canopy walk and observation tower were highlights. That our guides took the time to arrange for a tour-encapsulating photo journal was a classy addition and shared freely with all riders at the conclusion of the day. Even the post-ride meal recommendation was on point! Cannot suggest doing this highly enough. We'd love to do the sunset bike cruise on our next visit!

Fun way to see Myakka State Park - Derek & Jake made the tour easy and fun. It was so nice that they took pictures of the group along the way to share with us! We have been to Myakka before but this was the first time on a bike tour.

Super fun!! The best tour in Sarasota; the best guides! - Look no further, you have found the absolute best of the best for a guided ebike tour! Our tour guide Derek and his team were all really wonderful people, just a group of really good guys; friendly, informative, professional, helpful and flexible….and so knowledgeable. We learned so much on the Myakka tour and it was super fun. Everything runs so smoothly that you forget you are on an organized tour. We never felt rushed, we got to choose our bikes, and they were very good about safety as well, guiding the group to see the alligators and all the stops we made along the way to the canopy trail to the tower. The tour was exactly on time and felt effortless! Excellent value for the money. Our boys were very into the ride on their e-bikes and all of the amazing stops in the gorgeous stops we made throughout the park. Jack and Odie were a treat and he, Derek and the other guide were super cool guys, taking the time to tell us history, scientific information and share so much knowledge about the area and the surrounding wildlife. Another nice touch was they took pictures of every family in several spots along the tour; amazing pictures! And then shared them with us on the spot at the end of the tour. What a wonderful keepsake with photo memories we would never been able to get by ourselves! There honestly couldn’t have been anything better on this awesome tour! Whether you’re with your kids or just by yourself or a couple, young and retired alike, this is a must do in the Sarasota area!! An additional note: the next day we wanted to rent e-bikes together as a family and go exploring ourselves on another trail and because it was last minute there were no options and it was our last day there we thought of Derek and called him on his cell phone. He not only answered. He met us at the shop and rented us four bikes on the spot, and let us take them out for the day, but only charged us the two hour rate. How amazing is that? what a great guy please if you’re looking for any kind of E bike tour through Myakka or the sunset tour or just renting bikes yourselves, look no further than Derek at Endless Summer, Thanks Derek and team!! we loved it so much and we will be back !

Great È-bike ride in Myakka State Park - We were a bit concerned in the morning when we arrived for our e-bike tour and Derek and the team unloaded about 25 bikes! But there was no problem, even though there were many people on our ride as the team easily manuvered us all through easy rides with interesting stops while sharing the history of the park, finding us baby ‘gators to look at and taking action shots of us all on our bikes. My friend and I definitely enjoyed the trip and would recommend it highly!

Education that’s fun! - Beautiful park, great equipment and excellent guide. Short drive from Sarasota to a truly diverse ecological environment. Booking was very easy with clear direction. We met our guides Jack and Odie in a parking lot near the park entrance. Jack made sure everyone had a bike sized properly and adjusted to our liking. Explained the operation of the e-bike (RAD bikes) and went through some safety tips. Abundant water supply for each rider. Helmets were available if you wanted one. About an 8 mile trek with multiple stops to see wildlife and understand the ecosystem of the park which long ago was ranch land. Jack was very knowledgeable about the plant life. We sampled edible flowers along the way. He took multiple memory pictures for everyone. Great trip all around.

What a Ride! - Derek, Jack and Mike were excellent guides. You can tell they really love what they do for a living. The e-bike was easy to learn and the ride was even more fun! We saw lots of alligators and even a couple of babies as well as many birds. At one point we got off our bikes and walked through the canopy of trees, across a short suspension bridge and then climbed a tower to the lookout high above the canopy of trees and you could see for miles! You certainly don’t have to cross the suspension bridge or climb the tower if that’s not your thing but the view is definitely worth the climb. Thank you for a fun day!

Great way to tour the park - Great tour of this beautiful park. Our guides Derek and Jack were knowledgeable and safety conscious as we saw several large and small gators. The E bikes are easy to ride and allowed us to cover lots of ground.

So Fun! Great experience. - What a great way to spend your morning! We are new to the area and had family in from out of town. We were looking for a safe, nature experience and Endless Summer Eco Tours delivered a terrific experience. Our group had a a diverse age group. The Endless Summer team made sure everyone had a good e-bike overview and continued to provide excellent insight of the flora and fauna within the park throughout the tour. Very professional team, really cool excursion. We just bought new e-bikes so we can go back and explore the beautiful park regularly. Highly recommend.
