Highlights
  • Konjic Bridge - The Old Stone Bridge, also known as a product of the Ottoman era, spanned the Neretva river for centuries since its construction in 1682. It stood until March 3rd, 1945, when it was demolished by the withdrawing German forces. This bridge was a distinguished specimen of classic Ottoman bridge architecture.
  • The historic urban site of Pocitelj - Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, this distinctive town has been restored to its historical appearance following recent reconstruction efforts. Although first recorded in 1444, evidence suggests it was established in the late 14th century by the command of Bosnian King Tvrtko.
  • Blagaj tekija - Nestled at the foot of a cliff beside the Buna river’s spring, Blagaj Tekija is a Dervish monastery near Mostar, Bosnia, with a history spanning nearly six centuries. The monastery complex, with its striking and scenic architecture, offers an even more breathtaking experience in reality than in photographs.

The Tekija, or Tekke, originated at the peak of the Ottoman Empire. Over time, natural erosion and rockslides necessitated significant restoration and rebuilding of the structure. Presently, thanks to the efforts of a Turkish travel company, the monastery largely reflects its historical appearance.

  • Mostar Old Bridge - The ancient city of Mostar, which stretches across a steep valley along the Neretva River, was established in the 15th and 16th centuries as a border town of the Ottoman Empire and later flourished during the Austro-Hungarian period in the 19th and 20th centuries. Mostar is renowned for its traditional Turkish dwellings and the Old Bridge, Stari Most, from which the city derives its name. During the conflicts of the 1990s, much of the historic city and the Old Bridge, crafted by the eminent architect Sinan, were razed. The Old Bridge has been reconstructed, and numerous buildings in the Old Town have been repaired or rebuilt with the aid of an international scientific committee convened by UNESCO. The area around the Old Bridge, showcasing a blend of pre-Ottoman, eastern Ottoman, Mediterranean, and western European architectural styles, stands as a remarkable example of a multicultural urban habitat. The restored Old Bridge and the historical district of Mostar now serve as emblems of reconciliation, international collaboration, and the harmonious coexistence of various cultural, ethnic, and religious groups.

Fantastic Day-Trip Experience to Mostar and Surroundings from Sarajevo - Kenan - the real star of Adventure in Bosnia Tours. Extremely friendly, very engaging and really knowledgeable. All that you need from a guide, especially when you are on a first visit to the country. He made the 10-11 hour long day trip so worthwhile with his detailed knowledge of the area and the surroundings. We were so impressed by Kenan's professionalism and hospitality that we booked the company for our private transfer to Dubrovnik from Sarajevo. We thoroughly enjoyed the day-trip and would totally recommend Adventure in Bosnia Tours to anyone. Thank you very much Kenan. Diane and Abby

Kenan made all tne difference - Having the best guide makes a huge difference. Kenan Causevic was the coolest guide who did not just bring us to Herzegovina but also to the coolest restaurant located in a Dervish village, jutting out of a mountain stream gushing out of the rocks. It was like traveling with an old friend. He also helped us understand the Croatian influence in Herzegovina and a lot about the complicated relationships in Bosnia. I recommend a private tour with Kenan.

Amazing Nature - I need to hardly recommend everyone to book this tour somehow. The tour was wonderful by itself, the thing is Ibrahim and Kenan made it even better. Even though I was alone I didn’t feel so for a single moment. Ibrahim can speak English and Turkish which was also fun for me to speak Turkish with him, also has really good driving skills that we were about to sleep. We were given some important information about history during the tour and even talked about different topics such as general situation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Kenan is also reachable anytime and does his best for you even though it is something personal and not related with the tour. So I am more than happy that I was with them! Hvala puno moja braćo!

Ken is a great storyteller of Bosnian history and the tour is fantastic - Wonderful tour and Ken is a great host. We went to several very different cities and historic sites, the Mostar bridge and the waterfall were spectacular. The Blagsj Tekke was a surprise, a mystical building in a mountain with a water fed spring that turns into an aqua blue river. The storytelling and history was top notch from Ken in a comfortable van. We stopped for some local Bosnian cuisine of Burek was very tasty.
