Into the Heart of Anaga

The Anaga Mountains, a place where the earth seems to breathe with an ancient rhythm, called to me with a promise of discovery. As someone who has spent years in the stark, icy landscapes of the Arctic, the lush, verdant world of Anaga was a stark contrast. The gnarled branches, draped in moss and lichen, formed natural tunnels that seemed to whisper secrets of the past. The air was thick with the scent of earth and foliage, a far cry from the crisp, biting winds of the polar regions.

Detlow, our guide and mentor, was a master of his craft. His communication was impeccable, setting the stage for a seamless experience. As we ventured into the heart of the forest, he shared his techniques with a patience that was both refreshing and inspiring.
