Additional Information

For hundreds of years, the Canary Islands have been a hub for banana cultivation. We take pride in being the leading banana producer in Spain. Yet, our intent has never been to force our visitors to adapt to our customs and culture. Instead, we strive to engage them in our agricultural practices, giving them an inside look at our production processes. As part of this immersive experience, we offer an hour-long guided tour through our banana farms, gradually unfolding all the intriguing aspects of our operations. To top it off, we delight our guests with a special tasting of delicacies crafted from Canarian bananas at the end of the tour.

Learnt a lot and had a banana with banana wine surrounded by banana plants! - A very nice tour during which we learnt a lot about banana business, including growing, selling, exporting, products made from bananas, etc. The guide was knowledgeable and provided very detailed explanation with visual aid right in the banana plantation. We also tried a fresh banana and banana wine surrounded by growing banana plants! Banana wine is also available for purchase.

Fun banana tour for the whole family - Informative and interesting visit to a local, family owned banana farm. Guide was knowledgeable and entertaining, and we got to try both the bananas they grow and the banana wine they make!

Disappointed - This tour was less than expected. Although our guide was friendly and helpful, he extended the drive too much. we spent eight hours with him, we only saw two things - Mt. Teide National Park and the town of Garachico. The drive to Mt. Teide was lengthened due to having to take a roundabout route to avoid the forest fires. Not under the guide's control, I understand. Once we got there, the views were magnificent. Then he took us on an extended, nauseating drive down the Mosca Valley on a multiple-switchback, hairpin curve road, in order to have lunch at his cousin's restaurant. Wewe did not arrive there for lunch until after 3 pm, not having eaten since breakfast on the ship at 8 am. Once there, we were presented with a menu from which to select. Many "complimentary" appetizers were brought out prior to the entrees we had selected. the portion size on these were huge, way too much food when all we wanted was a light lunch. Then came the surprise when the guide announced that he would pay the owner with his credit card, and collect from each of us at the end of the tour. Our share of the equally-divided bill came to 46 euros for two of us, way more than we were expecting to pay for a "light" lunch on this tour! I felt that we had been taken advantage of. By the time we had arrived at Garachico, we were too exhausted to enjoy this charming seaside town. I do not recommend Touring Canarias.
