Very informative and safe - Dylan was a terrific guide. He made sure we all felt comfortable, safe and that our equipmemt was working at every stop. When he was in the water with us, he would point something out, surface to explain it, and then we'd go under to look again. He was very knowledable of the marine creatures we saw. Lunch was delicious and relaxing. I'd suggest bringing beverages if you want something other than water. It was a good snorkel experience.

Amazing trip! A MUST do!!! Worth the cost!!!!! - This was sooo amazing! Worth doing! It was raining, windy and very choppy water, but we still had the best time!!! Our guide made our trip so much fun!!!

Best Snorkeling Day! - This was an amazing snorkeling experience. In addition to beautiful corals and plenty of fish, we saw manatees, tons of nurse sharks, rays, and a sea turtle. Dylan was very helpful and even arranged for my husband to borrow some prescription goggles so he could see clearly without his glasses. They also provided beautiful pictures with their underwater camera. HIghly recommend.

An amazing experience! - Dylan was a great tour guide - patient, knowledgeable and friendly. It was such a neat experience, and we saw so many interesting things. Dylan knows exactly where to stop to get the best chance of seeing things. Would HIGHLY recommend.

Ecotourism par excellance - We did a very impressive full Day tour. We saw besides turtles, sharks and stingrays a manatee. It was one of the most fascinating encounter with a wild animal I ever had. Our guide Jordi was very engaged, friendly and proud to the nature of Belize. In a short term: ecotourism par excellence! Norbert

Awesome experience - Absolutely loved the tour. Alexa and Kyle made sure everyone felt safe and even took good care of my potential seasickness ☺️ our small group was lucky and saw pretty much everything there is to see (manatees, nurse sharks, plenty of fish, a turtle and also some rays). Would definitely recommend doing the tour with them!

Coming back for more! - My sister & I loved our day with Black Lion! From the start, our guide, Dylan,was personable & attentive. He ensured our questions, belongings & needs were met before heading out. He is a wealth of knowledge on the marine & bird life, & strove to give us a variety to see & maximum time to play in each stop. It was reassuring to catch him assessing weather and currents before picking his spots and releasing us into the water. Wonderful fresh snacks & lunch. We prefer the one on one style with some freedom to roam on our own a bit - & Black Lion is best for that with his eye on for safety. Can't wait to come back next year Dylan! Thank you!

Excellent all-day snorkel trip - Had an excellent all-day adventure with Capt Kyle and his assistant Shay. We were able to enjoy five snorkel sites, starting with a warm-up at the Conch graveyard. From there we went to snorkel with the nurse sharks at shark ray alley and then to Hol Chan. Unfortunately, there was a breeze coming from the island and blowing some silt, so the view was a little murky unless you dove down about 2 feet below the surface, but our guide had an underwater camera and was able to take some nice pictures that he emailed to us. Since the view on the island side of the reef was a little murky, Capt Kyle solved the problem by taking us to the other side of the reef where the water was clear and the view was spectacular. Coming back from the reef we went looking for manatees and we were able to spot two and I was able to get in the water and snorkel right over one. We finished the trip by going to the tarpon feeding area and we were able to see rays and one sea horse in the water near the shore. One thing to know is Black Lion Adventures is based in Caye Caulker, so if you are in San Pedro you will have to take a water taxi to and from the start. Also, they offer private trips. Since we were there in early October (typically the slow season), and no other bookings were guaranteed for that day, it was our only option. It turned out to be a great value as we had the boat and guide to just our party of two, and for a reasonable additional fee (about the price of a water taxi ticket) we were able to arrange pick up from San Pedro. Finally, the trip includes lunch and snacks (fresh fruit) to keep you charged up through the whole adventure.

Stopped as several spots & allowed us to take all the time we wanted exploring the reef & taking in all the fish under the sea. Added bonus was the camera he brought to let you take pictures (and even taking some close-ups for you). Lunch was very tasty too! Zoe was very helpful coordinating our day out in the water too!
