Highly recommend - So we docked in Cozumel and didn’t have any excursion booked , and because we were a bit nervous we were a bit unsure about doing one… we then got talking to Sammi at the port , he was selling day trips, he made us feel very comfortable, so we decided to go ahead with a trip… it was $35 per head.. we were taken into a big open bus and brought tequila tasting, watched tortilla making and then tasted also 🤤.. we then drove the coast of Cozumel stopping off at some beaches for photos.. and our final stop was a beach club, which included in the price : snorkelling , Paddle boarding and use of the lounge chairs and umbrellas! It was absolutely fantastic and well worth the money! Our tour guide was so amazing and had lots of history about the island, you could tell he was very proud of Cozumel. Would definitely recommend!!

Highly recommend - We loved this tour! Our guide Richie was amazing!!! He made the tour so much fun. We got see so many cool places and the tequila tasting with Julio was great! We got visit the lighthouse and climb to the top. Then we went to the beach club for some lunch and snorkeling. The fajitas were good and we did purchase some drinks from the bar which were nice and strong. They did have inflatables in the water but my kid’s preferred the snorkeling. We saw fish and a couple little sting rays.

Amazing Experience - We absolutely loved this excursion. Very affordable if you book early online. We paid $57 a person and wow did we get our bang for our buck. What we got: Private jeep tour with your own guide and you driving, unexpected stops on way, tour of whole island, tequila tasting with 10 tiny shots of tequila, option of Mayan reenactment or Punta Sur. We did Punta Sur which included lighthouse, and crocodile viewing area, plus small museum area. Then we went to Tortugas beach club. Lunch and one non alcoholic drink included. Includes choice of fish, chicken or steak fajitas. Then we purchased some of best guacamole and chips. Then we still had about 1.5 hours of beach time. It includes access to most not motor water sports. We chose to snorkel. It had clear water with a decent amount of fish close to shore. Also had water trampoline park too. Also had free drinks on the car ride around too. Now to the best part Greg was our guide. One of the most personal guys and spoke English very well. He was very knowledgeable on all parts of the island. He told us so many interesting facts. We were questioning how good this excursion as it wasn’t booked through the ship and it was the best! Highly recommend this excursion. They will pick you up right across from port and drop you back off. The beach club was very relaxed and not crowded at all. The music is much more adult themed. You can eat at chair or table. You can not walk straight onto beach you must take a ramp but water is not that rocky after that.

Superior Service - Seriously excellent customer service! I cannot say enough accolades for this group. First, we were given a great a/c jeep (with the top able to be removed for an unique trip around the island- it rained so we put it back on.) The jeep was comfortable and the ride very smooth. The Tortugas beach club was an amazing little spot. We went snorkeling off the beach area and saw cuttlefish, trumpet fish, sergeant majors, bermuda chub , and a few others. I was pleasantly surprised to find so many fish so close to the shore. Then beer and food. Great gift shop as well as a little shop with sodas, sunscreen, etc to take with you. (PS get the Massage there- prices are reasonable.) We then went on our private (unguided) tour of the island. AMAZING! When all said and done , we left items in the vehicle one was a souvenir and the other is sentimental to me. They have worked their magic yet again and found the items and will send them my way. If you are in Cozumel, I highly recommend Tortugas. They can be found of course through TripAdvisor but also off the International Port (if you're cruising.) Thank you Tortugas for our amazing adventure and we will be returning and using your services again!

Not All Inclusive - We booked the "Jeep Exploration & All Inclusive Tortugas Beach Break (Private)" tour for 5 people and paid $524.95. Hopefully this feedback will help others considering this tour. First there was confusion about the start time of the tour because the tour operator changed the booked time of our tour after informing us that the cruise ship arrival time would be different than local time, but that was not the case and therefore nobody was there to meet us for the tour and we had to wait for someone to show up. Rather than having guides in multiple Jeeps, we were provided only 1 Jeep for the 5 of us and we were told to follow the guide who drove in a separate car so there was no opportunity for narration or interaction with the guide for the majority of the tour. We asked if they had walkie talkies or some way to communicate with us and they said no. It was a lot of driving for the few stops we made, but we did do the tequila tasting and a brief stop to look at the beach. There was no stop at El Mirador that was advertised as part of the tour. We could have saved a lot and just rented a vehicle and drove ourselves and made these few stops and not really missed much. The "all inclusive" stop at the Tortugas Cozumel Beach club was not "all inclusive" although it was described as "Domestic Open Bar". When we arrived we were presented a menu with many drinks and food items, but when our server learned we had the "all inclusive" package he removed that full menu and gave us the "all inclusive" menu that was very restrictive. For example, the full menu had frozen daiquiris in several flavors, but the "all inclusive" menu only allowed the house lime daiquiri. Further the "all inclusive" menu even has pictures of tortilla chips on it, but when we asked for these chips they said no chips were included. At the end of the tour they asked for feedback and I said we were disappointed that the Tortugas Cozumel Beach club was so petty about these things. Chips are inexpensive to provide and what difference does it make what flavor the daiquiri is. All of this just made the experience a lot less enjoyable than it could have been and there is really no excuse for the pettiness when we paid so much for the tour.

Don’t bother. - Tortuga Beach Club fits the stereotype of “don’t trust a random organization on Cozumel - make sure you book legit.” Their website looks up to date, modern, and legitimate but in reality the business deals are sketchy. Also, the “beach club” looks like it was invested and built in 1990 and hasn’t been improved since. The details: We wanted to do a snorkeling tour but were planning it the night before and have two kids and didn’t want to miss the proper time for the ferry so we didn’t book online and instead researched some reputable looking companies and decided to make sure we got on the ferry on time and then we’d book. Well, we arrive in Cozumel and have no cell service and no WiFi. “No worries!” We decide to take a cab to Tortugas because they had tons of options for adventures leaving throughout the day. We hop in a cab and tell him where we would like to go. A couple minutes into the trip he says, “snorkeling?!” We reply, “yes! So excited!” He takes us to Tortugas and before he gets out to open the doors he says, “guys, I’m so sorry, there’s no snorkeling today.” We get out at Tortugas and they offer to let us walk around and check it out before we pay for the “basic package” which is basically entrance and snorkeling from shore. While we are checking out the restaurant and beach, they come over and offer us a Jeep Tour for $350 dollars. Knowing I saw that option the night before, I quickly pull up their website and show them that for this date and time it shows a Jeep tour for 4, snorkeling and exploration at South Point, fajitas for lunch, one alcoholic drink each at lunch, and a tequila tasting all for 217. He says, “oh no. Best I can do is $271.” I show him the website and he says “no, it won’t actually let you go through and process it.” At this point, we’ve paid for the ferry and for the cab so we either cut our losses and go back to the resort or at least just hop in the jeep. We asked if there would be snorkel gear available for beach snorkeling. The answer was yes but reality was NO. Lunch was okay. Fajitas were fine. Drinks NOT included. So to sum it up. We paid an extra $54. We got no drinks, no snorkeling, and a (boring for the kids, lackluster for us) Jeep tour.
