Stop scrolling and go! - A truly beautiful and unforgettable experience. From the breathtaking waterfalls, and scenic views to the fresh fruit, and little stops along the way…everything is so thought out and carefully planned. The passion and work that Andrés put into the planning and preparation is unmatched. The coffee and lunch stops were out of this world delicious and it was so nice to see the countryside. It was raining the morning we went out and we were given the option of cancelling or postponing, Andrés was so thoughtful and accommodating. A small group of us went anyways and it was the most perfect day. The light rain was beautiful and even refreshing. If you’re thinking about going, stop thinking and book this now. You won’t be disappointed.

AlturaPR hiking experience - This excursion was fantastic, Andres was such a great host and you can really tell he puts a lot of pride and effort into making it the experience that it is. We started our day at the cutest little coffee shop where the food and coffee were delicious. The hike was unbelievable. Completely private and our small group were the only ones there. The waterfalls and views were absolutely breathtaking. We had the most refreshing mango and pineapple mid-hike which was such a nice treat. It was also really nice just chatting with Andres, as he’s really easy to talk to. Based on the description of the hike, and all the information he provides you beforehand, you really know what to expect beforehand. We ended our day at an euthentic low key Puerto Rican restaurant and the food was cheap and delicious. We had such a great time and would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who wants a more private; intimate experience where you are not fighting a bunch of people. Also, you should book directly from their platform AlturaPR as many of the companies take a sizable chunk from what they charge and he is an individual running his own business, not some bigger company

Amazing Views, Waterfalls, and Food! - Wonderful mountain hiking/activities day trip. Mt favorite part of my Puerto Rico vacation. Andre was an excellent tour guide. Upon arriving in the morning, there were a couple of tours meeting at the same place. Ours was by far the most personable. We had a small group and were looked after the entire day. We went further out than the other groups on an adventure with multiple stops on the way. We stopped at a beautiful bridge where we could take pictures. Next, we went to a nice coffee shop in a secluded town on the way. Great food, coffee, and animals to see while you wait for your food (save room for a huge lunch). The hiking was definitely moderate. Andre made the trail as easy as possible. Some areas were more steep than others. Multiple waterfalls on the way. Bring shoes with good grip and an extra change of clothes for after. Especially if you decide to go swimming. After hiking, you'll stop in town at a local restaurant with the most amazing view. If you plan a hiking trip, choose this one with Andre!

Chasing waterfalls - The hike was incredible! It was very intimate due to the small group and personable because André talked to all of us, exchanging stories and talking about life experiences. The coffee shop was great! Affordable, strong coffee and cheap breakfast. Everything we did was very localized; therefore, there weren’t crowds. We saw four waterfalls, and it got better each time! At first, I thought it would be an intense hike, but overall, it was an easy-to-moderate hike. Eating fruits by the waterfall was beautiful. It was wonderful to stop, take in the views, and enjoy fresh fruits from the island. Lunch was cheaper than the coffee shop! A local yet whole-in-the-wall place with a significant portion and a fantastic view is my type of meal. It was, hands down, one of the best plate lunches I had in Puerto Rico. If I could give more stars, I would! The experience and tour were therapeutic. Andre takes care of you and is very welcoming and kind. Since the hike is on private land, you can enjoy the island and nature. I would recommend it 10/10 and also book again!

Truly a super fun cloud forest adventure! - This tour really is an adventure, with gorgeous waterfalls, beautiful forest, muddy, steep trails, amazing views, and just a bit of water trekking! Great to catch probably at least several good views of the Puerto Rican Tody too (for you birders out there)! This was definitely probably my favorite tour I went on while in Puerto Rico. Andre is a fantastic guide, full of information and energy, will definitely show you a great time (and keep you safe!)! So, if you want a little adventure, good food and coffee, in a beautiful mountainous forest setting, this tour is definitely for you!

Do this! - Do this hike! This was FANTASTIC! Andre was AMAZING. The hike was challenging, in terms of the terrain, lots of incline, mud, etc. but it isn’t intense. 3 amazing waterfalls and beautiful scenery. We were looking for a non touristy adventure in Puerto Rico and we sure found it. It is pretty much an all day event and we enjoyed every minute of it! 5 stars all around!

Amazing!! - This was by far the highlight of our trip to Puerto Rico! Our guide Andres was outstanding. Fun, friendly, great energy to get us excited about the area, and knew absolutely everything about the mountain, the waterfalls, the flowers, the local food and music, etc. The hike was just the right amount of challenge for people who are pretty fit and like to hike a 2-3 hours moderately strenuous trail. The views and the waterfalls along the way were spectactular, and swimming underneath the last waterfall was so much fun. Andres took care to always check in with us that the pace and level of challenge was just right, and that no one was getting hangry. We stopped at a coffee shop/bakery on our way up the mountain, had a fresh fruit feast midway through the hike, and had an abundant local lunch afterwards (with the best view of the countryside!!). You'll probably get wet. Wear a bathing suit under shorts/t-shirt, or just be prepared to get wet. Bring a towel and change of clothes to leave in the van - you'll have a chance to change at the end. Wear sneakers or boots for the hike - sneakers are fine - but be prepared to get them wet and maybe muddy. One person wore water shoes, and I wished I had hiking sandals in my backpack and kept my socks dry, but it was TOTALLY worth it and everything dried within 48 hours. Also - this is not a crowded touristy experience. It's truly off the beaten path and you'll appreciate the peace and beauty of having the mountain and waterfalls to yourself.

Our favorite PR memory - This tour was epic!! We had the best day in PR seeing some amazing sights and having very unique and authentic cultural experiences. Our host, Andre, was wonderful. He was thoughtful, passionate, knowledgeable, and took awesome photos along the way. The hiking was just right - challenging but not too strenuous. Many waterfalls and beautiful wildlife along the way. Every detail has been thought through by Altura to curate the best experience. Would 100000% recommend!!
