Additional Information

This excursion merges genuine stories from Salem’s history with some light ghostly tales designed for children above the age of 6. Our intent isn’t to frighten your children excessively, but to offer a touch of thrill and a certain level of enigma for kids who appreciate ghost tales. In addition, you’ll be introduced to captivating historical facts. The tour route is conveniently located near the city center but is slightly deviated from the usual routes, offering a beautiful and historic view that gives the sensation of traveling back in time. The journey culminates at our ancient and eerie Broad Street Cemetery, founded in 1655. The meeting point is at 316 Essex Street.
For more than a dozen years, families on vacation have preferred Salem Kids Tours for an intriguing and informative time travel. On numerous occasions, we have received feedback from children expressing their wish for the tour to not conclude. Our tours have been praised by parents as the main highlight of their Salem visit. We are eager to guide you through this journey. We find joy in children, comprehend their unique requirements, and look forward to your presence in our tours.

  • We cross streets, navigate over uneven pavement and bricks, and climb a small hill to get into the Broad Street Cemetery. Wheelchair users will not be able to access our final stop.

Spooktacular!!! - I would give this tour more stars if I could! The Salem Kids Slightly Spooky Tour was beyond my family's expectations. Alicia is an amazing tour guide as she delivered an engaging, interactive, fun history lesson for kids and adults alike. Her gifts as a teacher and in-depth knowledge as a Salem resident were on display. My 7 yo was so engaged she didn't want to be interrupted by photo opportunities, and neither she nor my 5yo was overspooked at any time. We took an early tour, just before Halloween, and we were able to avoid the crowds and experience the Halloween excitement and beauty of Salem. I can't recommend this family-friendly tour more, and look forward to future tours (at all times of the year) with Salem Kids Tours.

Great Tour - Alicia was an incredible guide. Wonderful with the kiddos, keeping their rapt attention and also giving great information to the adults at the same time. This was a wonderful way to start our visit to Salem with the family and Alicia also had great recommendations of other things to do in town. Would definitely recommend this tour even if it was the only thing you were going to do!

Great Tour! - Really fantastic tour. We took our 8 and 10 year old children and they were engaged and having fun the whole time. Alicia covered all of Salems rich history from before the witch trials and after. The kids learned a lot and so did I! Alicia combines a wealth of knowledge with a fun light attitude.

YOU WILL LOVE IT - Alicia was so knowledgable and energetic. She was captivating for adults to listen to, but also intriguing to the littles!! She taught more than just the witch history, which I really enjoyed! I never knew Salem was known for so much! I would recommend this tour for any kiddo old or young. It's a great way to learn some history and if you love a good story, Alicia is a great storyteller but all her stories are true!

Highly recommended tour of Salem for families with children - This was one of our favorite tours - our children were engaged and followed the guide closely as not to miss a word. Our children were 6 and 9 and the content was appropriate. The overall duration of the tour was perfect, as well as the time of the day. Our tour guide was a local and a history teacher, and we could have not asked for a better one!

Wonderful Tour - This tour was just the right combination of history and movement. We brought our 7, 5, and I had my two year old in a carrier. I have to say you need to know your child I was just hoping my 5 year old would be into it and she wasn't but still would do this tour again in a few years <3 Alicia was the best!!

Brought students in October! - We were so brave and brought a dozen students on a holiday weekend to Salem! Our tour guide, Alicia, was able to keep us all happy, laughing, learning and safe/ comfortable during this busy season! She was so helpful before we even arrived! Thank you so much for making this possible for our little school trip!
