Excellent museum - The museum is very modern featuring table guides. But the whole concept is what makes the difference and brings history alive, partially quite realistic.

Absolutely Superb, Don't Miss - We spent two full days touring Normandy on our own. We were undecided whether to do that or to take a tour and we chose the former because the guides often do not spend much time in the museums and that is something we wanted to do. Of the several museums that we visited, we found the Airborne Museum to be the best, although all of the others were excellent too. We are glad that we had the time to explore the five buildings which consist of the museum, which was both high-tech, informative, and simply compelling as we’re all of the D-Day sites. The museum is located in the town of Sainte Mere Eglise, and the church made famous by the movie The Longest Day where paratrooper John Steele landed on a church steeple. Make sure to enter the church and look at the stained glass windows which were installed in honor of the paratroopers who liberated that city.

Pedagogical and fun, perfect for discovering the history of the region - Visit with two children aged 7 and 9, the museum is very accessible and playful (tablet and scanner badge system), visual and interactive. Excellent visit on the theme of World War II.

Must-see in Ste-Mère-Eglise - After visiting the D-DAY EXPERIENCE, I hesitated to come here, thinking, it will be the same... We'll see the same thing... OK a model in para outfit remains a para in para outfit but the "staging" of the historical approach is different: evolution of equipment, training and training, focus on the events that took place in Ste-Mère-Eglise, employment of paratrooper units after D-DAY... I don't regret my visit! For the tablet, I remain doubtful... It will surely please the youngest but its use quickly annoyed me, I put it aside and it was not in any way embarrassing ...

Abourne - Excellent museum. Very interesting. Plenty to read watch and see. Suitable for all ages. All in english and french. The only thing some of the writing is hard to see because the writing is in red but it was only a few of the boards. It didn't detract from any thing. Would give more stars if I could

We must make this museum!!! - A museum absolutely to do to understand in a very playful and visual way, the Normandy landings. Video films allow children and adults to settle and better understand.
