  Located just 10 km northwest of Haugesund, Røvær is a quaint island community with approximately 100 residents. This picturesque archipelago provides a serene glimpse into coastal life, featuring charming boathouses, a cultural hotel, and welcoming locals. Visitors can enjoy walking trails, delve into Viking and wartime history, and take in breathtaking sea views from Varden, the island’s highest point, where a WWII pillbox still stands.

• Feøy - Feøy – A Peaceful Island Escape near Haugesund
  Situated just west of Haugesund, Feøy is a tranquil island group celebrated for its pristine nature and rich coastal traditions. With about 50 permanent residents, Feøy offers a glimpse of genuine island life as you pass by on your RIB adventure.
  From the sea, you’ll notice traditional boathouses, the delightful Feøy Brygge – once an old wharf, now a gathering place and restaurant – and open landscapes where sheep graze near the shore.
  During World War II, German forces occupied the island due to its significant role in the Norwegian resistance network. Today, Feøy remains a peaceful community surrounded by sea, history, and natural beauty.
