Great Hike - This was a very good tour that kicked off on time and we returned as scheduled. Our guide was Johannes, he was well versed in details and facts about the local area. The hike itself was about 3.5 miles round trip, but fairly steep from beginning to end with some loose gravel, making it somewhat slippery on the way down. I would say it’s a somewhat difficult hike for those reasons. The views on the way up and at the top are wonderful. They provide a lunch that consists of a lunchmeat and cheese sandwich, chocolate bar and bottled water.

Wonderful experience - Johannes is a wonderful guide! Also we loved our lunch which was a brown cheese meat sandwich. Inspired us to get more brown cheese on our way home!

Difficult hike worth it for the views! - Meeting spot was a little difficult to follow. Directions could have been a bit more specific. Overall great tour in comfortable Mercedes vans to hiking spot. Hike is difficult with steep inclines and gravel path. But worth it for the incredible views!! Lunch and water were provided. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time for the hike and to take in the scenery.

Fabulous views - Very well organised. We were on a cruise and it worked really well with the time we had in port. A minibus took us to the start of the hike which was about 60 mins away. We had fabulous weather for the hike, you need to be fit as it is quite a steep ascent. Our guide had picked up sandwiches on the way for our lunch which we sat and ate at the view point at the top of the hike. It does get a little windy up there but the views were incredible and worth the climb. On the return our driver dropped us in town so we could have a look around before we had to board the ship.

Nice excursion, beautiful surroundings and fantastic views. - Very nice hike to a high point with fantastic views. It's a tough climb, though. Bus return was fine arranged including packed lunch.

What an amazing hike - What an incredible experience! Our guide Endre was fantastic, knowledgeable about the area with fun facts, and walked at the pace needed for the group. The walk was rigorous with consistent inclines of 30-40 degrees. It was also unusually hot when we hiked, but in the end the view was worth it. My teenage kids, who moaned a bit during the hike, were left speechless when we reached the top. The walk down was challenging because we had exerted so much energy walking up but Endre did a great job of keeping our pace and recommending rest breaks. This is considered an easy hike for Norwegians bc the ground was gravel but most Americans may find it a little challenging. Extremely worth it though for the experience and photos.

Unforgettable photo spot! - We booked this excursion through TripAdvisor with Viking and were absolutely thrilled. On-site, we were welcomed very warmly; our tour guide Alexander in particular made the day an unforgettable experience. After a steep but beautiful climb, we reached a summit with a breathtaking view – the vista truly left us speechless. The handmade picnic was very delicious and a great refreshment along the way. Since we were only a small group of four participants, the tour was very personal and relaxed. A special highlight was that Alexander also showed us a hidden viewpoint that most tourists never get to see. Thank you very much for this wonderful day – we can highly recommend the tour without reservation!

Hiking at Himakana - Very beautiful hike. Competent guide. There is surely the possibility to do this excursion privately at a better price.

Rainy Day Hike - We had a great guide in a small sprinter van teach us about the area on the way up. He stayed with us during the hike and left no one behind. He even offered to take photos at the top. Johannes was a great guide even through our rainy hike.

Great Hike & Guide, Bad meeting instructions - The guide and the experience were great. But the instructions I got for meeting up with Viking were flat-out wrong. I was told to meet right by the cruise dock. In fact, I had to walk 1/3 of a mile to find Viking's office. I almost missed the tour. Don't trust 3rd party instructions - contact the operator directly.
