- Tarquinia - In Tarquinia, the tour includes a visit to the Necropolis of Monterozzi, renowned for its Etruscan tombs adorned with stunning frescoes. Following this, the National Archaeological Museum will be explored, which houses a collection of Etruscan artifacts. An optional lunch is available. The entry ticket for the Tarquinia Necropolis is not included but can be purchased at the necropolis ticket office.

Etruschi nectopolis - ETRUSCHI TOUR.
We had a wonderful day discovering the necropolis of Tarquinia and Cerveteri along with their museums. Our guide/driver Simone was really nice. He was really professional, punctual and always ready to give us useful information on the different attractions. Additionally, he bought some cakes for us while we were visiting one of the archeological sites. 100% Recomendable.

Too trip around Etruscan sites - Simone was the perfect guide, driver and companion. I couldn’t rate him highly enough. The visit around the Etruscan necropoli and museums was fascinating and would be impossible to do independently.
If you have the chance you must take this tour.

Anyone interested in historical... - If you are interested in historical sites, you should definitely book this tour. Our guide Simone was outstanding! He gave us a lot of information. The day before we were reminded of all the data, again sent exact meeting point with photo, he was on time, drove us very well everywhere, always offered that we can stay at the sites as long as we need. We really enjoyed it and we learned a lot. We had asked for recommendations for restaurants on the way back and he still sent us all after the end of the tour. Also another link with the pictures of the sites. Even more tips on what else we can see near our hotel. We found that extremely nice! Thanks again to Simone for this wonderful day.

Fantastic Day Trip - This is a fantastic tour. The tombs and artefacts are fascinating. There was no rush and we were given time at each of the four sites to look at what we needed being driven to each site in a comfortable air conditioned car (much needed in the heat!!) Thank you Simone for a brilliant day. Highly recommend day trip and especially good if you have visited Rome before and want to to see something a little different outside the city.

Interesting sites, great operator. - We had a great day on this tour. Simone went out of his way to collect us from our accommodation for an early start. Sites visited were interesting as was the conversation and information provided by Simone. Our ride was comfortable, directions and explanations were clear and we enjoyed having flexible time available at each site. The lack of crowds was a bonus. We are happy to recommend this tour.

Book this excursion now! - Exploring the stunning, fascinating UNESCO historical sites of Tarquinia and Cerveteri on a private excursion under the auspices of the amazing Simone has been, by far, the highlight of our travels in Italy. First, about Simone. In many ways, he is the star, or rather the rock star, of the excursion. So many positive adjectives come to mind about Simone: kind, courteous, knowledgeable, extremely intuitive to his travelers' needs, and in a great conversationalist and raconteur. Simone immediately laid to rest any trepidation I had ahead of time about spending hours in a car with someone I had never met before. In fact, Simone is precisely whom you want to drive you around greater Rome. His meet-up instructions were easy yet precise, he is extremely knowledgeable about metropolitan Rome, the sites we visited and, well, the broader world. He was one of the easiest people to talk with whom I've met in a long while. Also, his English is excellent, so if you only speak English you will have zero problems communicating with him.
As for Tarquinia and Cerveteri themselves, these sites are a bit under the radar but are of great historical importance, and frankly ought to be bucket list items for anyone with an interest in the history of Italy, ancient Rome and (needless to say) the Etruscans. The necropolises of Cerveteri also happen to be located on a truly beautiful site.
All in all, this excursion was truly magical. I wholeheartedly recommend booking it or, if the Etruscans aren't your thing (though you should give them a try!), definitely book something else with Simone. You won't regret it.

Adventure, Archaeology and Art - Simone was fantastic and flexible made travel to the sites stress free. He was full of helpful hints on how to make the most of our visit. We enjoyed discovering more about the Etruscan people.

A Day in Tarquinia and Tombs - Simone was very flexible and easy to communicate with in the planning stages. He was prompt to the pick up time and explained the day that lay ahead of us. He was very knowledgeable and easy to engage with. He gave us suggestions for restaurants for after we returned to Rome. He even got us some sweet pastry treats to try during the day. (They were good!!). Overall I recommend Simone as a guide, this day tour and Scoot Around Rome Tours.

What to do - A great family day. We could quietly discover the sites not easily accessible by public transport and so focus on what was around us. The little touches really touched us. On our next visit we will repeat the experience at Hadrian's Villa 😉.

Etruscan historical sites - This was an incredible tour with Simone. He took me to the UNESCO listed, Cerveteri necropolis which was beautiful, atmospheric and deserted and the painted Etruscan tombs of Tarquinia, with museum stops in between. Simone is an excellent guide: very well traveled himself and a great conversationalist. Highly recommended for an unusual and memorable day trip from Rome.
