Simone was exceptional. So worth every euro spent. - Simone was able to pick us up from our hotel. And we even communicated prior to our arrival in Rome via WhatsApp. Simone made my huband and me feel so comfortable and so well taken care of. He drove us to Tivoli and made sure we knew where to go, and what to expect. Simone told us about Rome and Tivoli. A wonderful driver and guide. There was water and drinks waiting for us in the car. He even had some specially chosen pastries for us after the first villa. So happy we found Simone thru Viator. He truly made our day special.

Wonderful day trip from Rome! - We had a fabulous day trip to see Villa Adriana & Villa D’este with our host and driver for the day Simone!
He arrived early at our pick up point and was ready and waiting for us when we arrived. We headed straight for Villa Adriana and along the way we stopped at a cafe where Simone bought us coffees and pastries! We then were dropped off right at the entrance to Villa Adriana we were told to take our time and simply message him when we were ready to be picked up! From there he drove us to a nearby waterfall where we had some beautiful scenery and photos! It was then off to lunch in Tivoli and Simone had several recommendations for places to eat. We chose to go to a local Trattoria and Simone walked us to the door. He also gave us clear instructions for the very easy 2 minute walk to Villa D’este after we finished lunch. All that was left to do was message him when we were ready to be picked up from Villa D’este and we were driven back to the place we started from in the morning!
Simone was very personable and friendly, he was easy to talk to and he offered plenty of local knowledge and funny stories…it was like hanging out with an old friend!
If you’d like to see the 2 Villa’s on your own terms, this is the way to do it. I would highly recommend Simone’s service!

Nice tour with knowledgeable guide and lots of extras. - Enjoyed a lot our tour with Simon. Picked us up from the hotel, told a lot of interesting information and even took us to number of places in Rome after our mail trip to Villa d'Este & Hadrian villa. Highly recommend Simon in his tour. Next time in Rome, will be for sure using his service. price is also very good.

A worthwhile day trip - We had a great day trip with Simone. He arranged to meet us as at an easy location a short metro ride from central Rome. He can pick you up from your hotel if pre-arranged.
Simone was very knowledgeable about not only where we visited but other parts of the history of Rome. He also ensured there was water and soft drink for us.
Tivoli Unesco Villa D'este & Hadrian Villa were both amazing. The archaeological ruins of Hadrian Villa were fantastic. The grounds of Villa D’este were something to see. The number of fountains is a site to see.
I would highly recommend this tour with Simone.

An amazing day trip from Rome. Just do it! - I travelled today with Simone and my family to Hadrian’s Villa and Villa D’Este. Simone’s communication was wonderful- he was very organised and kept in contact with us the whole day. He also has a wonderful sense of humour and we had so much fun. Simone very kindly picked us up from our hotel in the morning and dropped us back - an incredible help given the location of our hotel. We loved our time at Hadrian’s Villa and Villa D’Este. It was a very hot day and Simone supplied us with cool drinks. He also made a wonderful recommendation for a restaurant for lunch in Tivoli - Sibilla. We felt like Kings, as we had the most amazing meal in a stunning setting - apparently we won Simone’s record for the longest at lunch!! The fountains at Villa D’Este were stunning - a beautiful place on a hot summer’s day. Simone also didn’t pressure us at all and was incredibly obliging. This is the perfect day trip from Rome. Fantastico - Simone was fantastico! We had an awesome day, he shared funny stories, told us all about Rome and was great to ask general questions about travelling in Italy. Villa D’este was insanely beautiful. Would highly recommend! And the air con in his car was 👌👌 after the hot sun

A Stunning and Memorable Day - My wife and I were looking for something different to do on the last day of this year’s visit to Rome. We came across the day trip to Tivoli offered by Scoot Around Rome. We can’t say enough about how thrilled we were with Simone as our tour guide. There are 2 UNESCO sites in Tivoli, Hadrian’s Villa and Villa d’Este. The first one is the remains of the palatial estate of Emperor Hadrian, who ruled the Roman Empire from 117 to 138 AD. He had the villa built in 120 AD. It has survived 1900 years of history amazingly well. The sheer size and beauty of the site is stunning.
The second site, Villa d’Este dates back to the 15th century. The interior has remarkable frescoes throughout. As beautiful as the interior is, the gardens and fountains are unlike anything we have ever seen.
We had no idea such beauty existed just 28 km outside of downtown Rome. Thank you Simone for putting this your together. You taught us much and we so enjoyed our conversations. A special thanks for setting us up with lunch at Ristorante Sibilla, a 300-year old Michelin Star restaurant. We enjoyed an extraordinary meal in the most beautiful of settings.
Simone offers many different tour options. You will not find a better, more accommodating host for your Rome experience.
