Best experience in Rajasthan - We had an amazing time. My favourite thing I did in Rajasthan! We booked it through Pol Haveli hotel the night before and the tour took us to the nearby sandstone mausoleum and an evacuated village town. We went on a camel ride through the desert and sand dunes before watching sunset on the sand dune. We had great food cooked by Santosh, Hira, Vikram in the evening (loads of it in fact - dal, spicy vegetables and rice) then sat around a campfire. We slept under the stars with plenty of blankets so we were really warm. Next day we had another huge breakfast and another camel ride before heading home (though I think trips can be booked for upto a week if you want to stay longer). Thank you Santosh, Vikram, Hira for an amazing time in the desert. Thank you Ali for driving us to the places before the camel ride. Thank you Manu and Ana for organising the trip with us.

Overnight Camel Safari - We opted for an overnight Safari organized by Manu from Pol Haveli Hotel, seeking a more authentic experience rather than the typical touristy safari. Following discussions with Manu, we discovered that this was precisely the type of safari Pol Haveli had to offer. The Safari started with a Jeep journey, with Ali as the driver, to an abandoned village, followed by a venture toward the desert, where we encountered the camel and desert team (Santos and Fabris). Despite finding the 30-minute camel ride a bit uncomfortable, we eventually arrived at the desert campsite. The team promptly ignited a bonfire, treating us to flavorful masala chai and pakoras for snacking. We ventured out to explore the dunes and caught a glimpse of the sunset, though it was obscured by smog, much to our disappointment. As dusk fell, the team prepared a communal dinner, providing us with a memorable experience by teaching us how to make chapattis. We then gathered around the bonfire, enjoyed our meal, which was plentiful and authentic, socialized and sang songs along side the team improvised instruments. When we decided to retire for the night, the team promptly arranged bedding with mattresses and blankets. I wouldn't say these are the most confortable beds but again we wanted a more natural experience so it was up to what we expected. There are enough blankets to not feel cold during the night. I had a great sleep under the stars and a full moon. I could say that this was the quieter night we had in India so far 😅 The following morning greeted us with a stunning, slightly clearer from the smog, sunrise, which we loved. The team, once again, prepared a hearty breakfast for us with bulgur porridge, toasted bread, jam and bananas and the warmy massala chai. Around 10 AM, the Jeep arrived to transport us back, marking the end of our desert escapad. Final very important detail is that once we arrived in the Pol Haveli Hotel and as agreed, we had a room, free of charge, where we could take a shower and use the bathroom. In my opinion this is the type of experience that will be as good as you make it. Just like camping with friends, but in the desert, with real desert people. If you want to know how this people live and get a great cultural and natural experience, this is for you.

Unforgettable experience!! - Pol Haveli's dessert safari was an unforgettable experience. Driving out to meet with the camels and then riding to a beautiful spot to sit, watch the sunset, sing songs around a fire, eat delicious food and sleep under more stars than I have ever seen anywhere. Thank you so much, very well organised by super friendly people. I'd like to come back someday.

Desert safari to remember - The desert safari organised by Pol Haveli was really very good, out in the dunes with a very tasty meal provided, watching the most spectacular sunset and then sleeping under the stars, truly magical. Even the camel was not unfriendly . Thank you.

Amazing Desert Safari - This was such a fantastic experience felt like we were in another world. We visited the most gorgeous village to get our camels and made our way out into the desert. We arrived at our camp for the night where we were entertained for the night and fed. Had the most amazing night sleeping under the stars. Hugely recommend this Safari

Safari tour - Safari was great best stuff good food at night Beers possible also thay take to 2 spots on the way there also good places Night was cold but they have a lot of blankets so no feel cold good sunsets dunes and all the experience

Amazing beyond expectations - The dessert Safari was amazing! The hotel organized everything like clockwork. We met a group of other travellers and the local guides and drove in the the dunes. There is the option to take camel or jeep and we chose the jeep. The ride was fast and fun. We ate amazing curry and snacks around the campfire (seriously, how do you make food that good just on a camp fire), drank chai, sang songs and joked throughout the night. When the fire died down we slept under the stars. I don't think I have ever seen so many stars and shooting starts in one night. Next morning we have delicious breakfast, visit a local village and head back to the hotel. Our train out of Jaisalmer was much later that evening, but the hotel kindly allowed us to have a room to shower, rest up and store our bags until it was time to go. If you want to do desert safari, choose to do it here. We were the only group on the camp site, the staff and funny and friendly and they hotel will go above and beyond. Thank you very much!

Best Camel safari in Rajasthan - Very good Safari, it starts with a camel ride (camels are well treated), you end up to the dunes for the sunset then you have a local dinner under the stars. The morning you wake up with one of the best sunrises in India. The staff is perfect and very friendly, they spoke english. I highly recommend this one !
