Andres and Rebecca, thank you! - This was a lovely tour. We enjoyed the ride to the site with Rebecca, she was so fun and sweet (and safe!). Our guide was Andres and he was wonderful. I appreciated all that he knew about the trees, the surrounding area and the flora and fauna. We saw monkeys, lizards, a snake, and water buffalo. I appreciated this company and Andres for not feeding the monkeys. Andres really cared about ecotourism, educating people, and sharing the river. It was a chill activity, we enjoyed the rest pace.

Mangrove and more! - The mangrove boat tour with Nacarcosta was a fun excursion! We started off with a tour around the farm that included donkeys, water buffalo, chickens, roosters, geese and more. Our guide was knowledgeable and I felt like the tour really honored the land and wildlife. After our farm tour, we boarded our boat and started with checking out some sleeping bats. We saw many species of birds, turtles, a couple of baby crocodiles, black & green iguanas, some capuchin monkeys napping and then had a couple of monkeys climb on our boat! This was a relaxing outing that let us enjoy nature while gaining knowledge on the beauty of Costa Rica. They had a separate guide in a kayak that was helping spot wildlife and also taking pictures that helped document this experience. After the tour of the mangroves, we were provided a delicious lunch and the best plantains I've ever had!

Mangrove Boat Tour - We did the Mangrove Boat tour with Leondro and Captain Dave. Our Tour guide Leondro was very professional and knowledgeable of the area and the wildlife. We saw the monkeys right up close, iguanas, turtles, birds, and even a crocodile! Would definitely recommend this tour and our guide Leondro. 10/10 would do again!

Wildlife adventures - Our tour guides were amazing and they had the best eyes! We saw a sloth, tons of monkeys, birds, bats, fish, a snake, and many lizards and iguanas. We finished with a delicious Costa Rican lunch. I would highly recommend Nacarcosta wildlife adventure during your stay in Costa Rica.

Enjoy beautiful plants and animals in their wild habitat with some of the best guides we have ever had - Wow we loved our experience with Nacarcosta Wildlife Adventure. We saw TONS of animals, including multiple sloths (!), dozens of capuchin monkeys, lizards, birds, bats, and flora. The ambience of the whole experience, from the beautiful dining hut and garden, to the mangrove waterway, was spectacular. Most of all, we had SO much respect for our guides Leandro and David for upholding Costa Rican requirements for not feeding or touching the wild animals. We saw a different tour boat luring the monkeys to climb on guests and lick banana off guests’ hands and faces, pose for photos, etc. But our guides assured us that Nacarcosta doesn’t participate in or promote those behaviors. We were so grateful to know we were supporting a business that protects Costa Rica’s wildlife! Thank you Leandro and David for an incredible visit! Pura vida!

Go early - Our guide was so knowledgeable. She was able to point out so many things we would have missed! We saw a white-faced monkey, iguanas, a battle between a tiger buzzard and another bird, ibis,a very blue heron, and a looooooong blue and yellow striped snake . I say to go early because animals are more active in the early part of the day.
