Ride the Buffalo! - Well organized and entertaining. Ride the Buffalo, that is important!
Memo was our guide and he is very well versed in the wildlife and the overall environment you are operating in. Great family excursion. We saw white faced monkeys, lizards, birds, Cayman, etc. Definitely try this one out.

Mangrove kayak tour with Alex - Thumbs up! - We loved the mangrove kayak tour. Our family group ranged in age from 10 to 78 and we all had a wonderful time. Alex was an excellent guide. He taught the basics of kayaking to those of us who had limited experience and helped us when we didn’t quite nail the turns. He was great at spotting wildlife and was enthusiastic about informing us about what we were seeing, be it trees, monkeys, birds, iguanas etc. We would definitely recommend a mangrove kayak tour with Alex.

Alex is a great, ethical, professional guide. - We did the 2 hour kayak tour with their new guide, Alex, and he was amazing! He took his time, checked in with everyone, knew a lot about the wildlife, and his communication skills were excellent - including English. We would definitely recommend Alex to anyone. We liked that he didn't try to feed wild animals just to get them close to us. We respectfully observed and enjoyed and let it all come to us. A very good, minimal impact experience we'd do again if we get the chance to come back.

Great kayaking trip!! - Alex our tour guide took us on a lovely kayak trip through the mangroves! It wasn’t physically demanding and a much more peaceful and enjoyable way to watch wildlife than the boat tours. While we didn’t see any sloths, we did see monkeys birds and iguanas. Really loved how respectful of wildlife Alex and Nacarcosta Wildlife Adventures are!

The best experience of our vacation! - The kayak tour with Nacarcosta was a highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. Memo was our tour guide. Memo is very knowledgeable. We learned so much from him. He gave us time and many fascinating explanations of the animals and fauna/flora around the canal. Memo promotes a strong sense of environmental protection. He has a perfect sense of humor and you can feel his high level of passion and enthusiasm about his job and mission. He wants you to love and protect his country's exceptional nature.

Great Guide made it a Great Time. - This tour was great! The team accommodated our unexpected late arrival - which was very kind. We had a little trouble getting transportation from Quepos. Upon arrival, we were cordially greeted and made it to the kayaks before the tour started. Alex, our guide, was absolutely fabulous. He pointed out many different species of birds and animals. I appreciated how respectful he was - especially how he did not try to coax the monkeys to interact with us like several of the boat tours were doing. Feeding the wildlife is wrong on so many levels. Especially having monkeys eating from humans’ sunscreened, bug-sprayed bodies for photo ops. People are ignorant to think this is not bad for the monkeys. I’m ashamed to have been on one of those tours years ago - before I realized how potentially harmful the activity was to monkeys. It takes very little of the toxins we casually wear to compromise their small bodies. Anyway - Alex was aware and respectful, knowledgable and fun to chat with about the mangrove environment and it’s inhabitants. Miraculously, he even found a sloth resting high up a tree! I still am amazed he spotted it - the sloth was nearly invisible.
Anyway, I recommend the tour - ask for Alex. He’s the best!
