A Warm Welcome to Puerto Plata

The morning of the excursion, I received a friendly reminder from Wady, our guide for the day. His laid-back demeanor and excellent communication set the tone for what was to be an unforgettable day. As a former professional surfer, I’m no stranger to early mornings, but Wady’s message was a welcome start to the day. The staff, including Chander, Gelsy, Alex, and Oliver, were exceptional, ensuring that our experience was both safe and memorable. After our delightful encounter with the monkeys, Wady continued to guide us through the heart of Puerto Plata. We strolled through the city center, taking in the sights and sounds of this vibrant locale. The iconic pink alley and umbrella street were a feast for the eyes, and we couldn’t resist snapping a few photos to capture the moment.

Wady’s presence was reassuring, yet he gave us the freedom to explore at our own pace. We indulged in some shopping, savored delicious ice cream, and even visited the local church. It was a perfect blend of guided exploration and personal discovery, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to experience the city.
