Very informative and great tour - We thoroughly enjoyed this short tour of Southern Lanzarote. Our guide Paul's knowledge of his native island was exceptional and he was also very amusing. The visit to Timanfaya was excellent and the scenery spectacular. Huge thanks to our driver who navigated his way around the very narrow roads amongst the lava fields with great care. We look forward to booking another trip when we return in November to learn more about this beautiful island.

Lanzarote, volcano views, camel riding - Nice to experience with kids, went there by bus, had a nice guide, ride camels for 10 min and drive to a bodega to wine tasting, bought a bracelet made of volcanic stones:)

A 'must do' in Lanzarote and definitely worth the money. Our tour guide Michael was fab (& bus driver Sebastian was too) - An amazing trip from start to finish, learned so much about Lanzarote and the volcanoes, the demonstrations were great and the drive around the craters was amazing. I'd read in some reviews that people missed out on visiting the gift shop after the demonstrations- don't worry there's a lovely little gift shop at the final stop too (where you can also have a free sample of the local wine- very nice).Pick up from our hotel was on time (given when your email with ticket). It's a lovely day out,the camel ride is optional but only 11€ each if you do want to do it

Amazing trip, well worth doing! - We would absolutely recommend this trip! Straightforward pick up, coach arrives in time. Air conditioned, seat belts etc. Our guide Anna Christiana was fantastic - spoke excellent English. Factual and interesting commentary, good humour. Four demonstrations at the top of the volcano - all exciting and worth talking about. Coach journey through the lava lands, so many amazing features to see. Some people on our trip opted for the camel ride. Camels appeared to be well looked after. We enjoyed a wander through the small, yet interesting museum at this stop. Stopped briefly at a vineyard on the descent - didn’t make any purchases but enjoyed learning about the traditional farming methods that are still practised today. Plenty of opportunities to buy gifts, toilet facilities etc throughout the trip. Arrived back in Puerto del Carmen about 2.30pm. Depends on your expectations of a coach tour, but we absolutely loved it!

Nice array of activities - Our first time in lanzarote so we booked this trip to learn more about the island. It took about 5 hours but the time flew by. We did a quick stop for some camel walking ( This was an additional €11 per person or you could visit the museum if this didn’t interest you). We then went into the local village for refreshments and then on the way to the volcano stopped by for some wine tasting. The trips variety of activities made it interesting for all at only €31 per adult. Not only that but the tour guide was amazing! Full of knowledge and with a good sense of humour. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for something to do or would like to learn more about the area.

A visit to another world... - Decided to do the short tour as it was only a half-day tour and we thought the longer tour might be too long. Our guide for this trip was Yvette and our bus driver was Melvin. Yvette was a fantastic guide. She was very informative and knowledgeable and she was also quite witty too. Melvin's driving was first rate and it had to be too - you'll find out why if you decide to do this trip! So, on to the trip itself...after the expected pick-ups we arrived at Timanfaya National Park and one of the first things we did was the optional camel ride. We hadn't planned to do this but as they took card payments (11 euros per person) we thought we'd do it rather than stay behind and wait for the others to get back. The camel ride lasts about 20-25 minutes and is reasonably comfortable. If you decide not to do this bit then there is a museum at the camel stop and some benches if you fancy taking in the view with a drink/snack while you wait. We never got chance to visit the museum as by the time we got off the camels it was time to get back on the bus. After some more driving along twisty/winding roads we stopped to take part in the volcanic demonstrations. For me, these were the highlight. I won't describe them because it might spoil it for you but I will say we were all really impressed. There is a chance to take plenty of photos here and there is a gift shop/toilets. After that there is more driving with several brief stops where you can take more photos. Due to park restrictions these photo ops have to be taken from on the bus through the windows - not ideal but I can see why they have to do it this way. Towards the end of the trip is a stop at a vineyard where you can sample some wine and if you like it then you can buy some. After that it's back on the bus to the hotel with the usual drop-offs on the way. We arrived back at the hotel about 2.30pm (we were picked up about 8.50am) so still had plenty of time to do other things. This is a fairly fast-paced tour. The stops are relatively short (20/30 minutes) so you need to make sure you get all those pics, visit the gift shop, toilet etc before you get called back on the bus! The scenery is truly amazing - Yvette wasn't wrong when she said it's like being on another planet. I did this with an open mind having read some good and some not-so-good reviews but in the end we all enjoyed it and were glad we did it. One final thing worth bearing in mind, the weather wasn't good at the camel stop - it was raining(!), windy and....cold! As this is a mountainous area the weather can change so I'd recommend taking a waterproof jacket just in case. We learned the hard way and ended up cold and wet. Fortunately, the rain soon stopped and the rest of the day was dry/sunny.

A well organised trip. - Worthwhile trip to see the islands beauty. We were picked up on time from the main road bus stop . We were first took to the camel ride( optional) it was €11 not €9 stated per person. It is very windy and cold up there. The guide put us all together which was good. The ride is about 25 minutes. I think a shorter walk would have been ok. We then went for a drink early lunch at a cafe. ( you have to be quick!).we then had a quick stop at a winery. A small glass of wine and a look at the gift shop. The guide was very informative in Spanish and English.our last stop was the the volcano. This was a 20 minute stop which the whole group watched experiments . We then went on a tour on the bus of the national park. The coach driver was very skilled!! Finally a drop off back at the resort.
