Hugely DISAPPOINTING! - From the description of this tour, one expects to attend a somewhat personalised dance class where individual attention can be paid to attendees and then following that, one would attend 2 different Milonga's. In reality, this tour was a pick-up to the first Milonga where the dance-class takes place by instructors in Spanish who do not have any time for English-speaking visitors, despite there being a good number of us. They spend an entire hour teaching the same 7 steps of the Argentine tango and offer no variation whatsoever. They are quick to show-off their skills but offer no expertise to further help/ guide those who are quick at picking-up what was taught. It was extremely frustrating in that our tour guide Carla tried to ask the teachers to explain in English, but they pointedly ignored her request. What is disappointing about this is that one has paid a premium for a semi-private class where one expects more than just a generic class being taught at a Milonga-venue that's open all through the week to all sundry who are willing to learn and who pay only the basic entrance fee as these classes are offered in the venue for anyone and everyone. Once the class was over, without explanation, the vibe of the first venue transforms into a rock-dance venue where rock-classes are offered and one can then practice rock-styles. Only after that hour or so, is the tango milonga really opened where one waits to practice what was learnt earlier, but that is dependent on whether or not there are people willing to dance with you. After realising the abrupt change from Tango to Rock at the first Milonga, we decided to go to the 2nd Milonga. Which was an even bigger disappointment. The 2nd Milonga commences from the early afternoon, so by the time we reached, they were getting ready to close up. There were all of 5 couples on the dance floor and if it wasn't for Carla's coaxing of them, no one would have offered to dance at the Milonga. The vibe and atmosphere at the 2nd Milonga is for an elderly-crowd who are 55+. After the high-tempo and fast-paced vibe of the 1st Milonga venue, the 2nd one is a total fail. We eventually made our way back to the 1st Milonga venue and hoped to actually get a chance to dance but by then the rock-session was over, the lights had dimmed and unless one had a partner - the session was a drag. Don't do this tour unless you have a partner. You could just as easily pay the entrance fees to each of these Milonga's and make your way around with an Uber. That was literally all that happened. Paying the premium for this tour is NOT WORTH IT!
