Experience the beauty of Porto in a whole new way on this 2-hour private sailing cruise aboard the Argonauta, a 32-foot, charming and classic motor sailor, built by the reputed Swedish boatyard Hallberg-Rassy. Sailing through Douro River allows you to take in the famous Ribeira (old town) and view the typical Porto houses and the cellars as they were meant to be seen, from the water. Plus, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of Arrábida bridge, and Dom LuÃs I bridge and the beautiful sights of bird’s sanctuary and the Douro River mouth flowing into the Atlantic Ocean.

Most enjoyable sunset cruise at the Douro - The skipper Raul and his chief officer were so nice, friendly and knowledgeable. Had a great time enjoying the scenic views (and the spectacular sunset) of the Douro, the fine Port Wines the guys offered and a great chat with them. Definitely worth recommending to my friends and others.

Don’t miss this while in Porto! - We had booked a private cruise with Raul for the day before but the weather didn’t cooperate. Luckily we were able to get onto a small group sunset cruise with Raul the next day. Only 9 of us plus the 2 crew on the open are boat and is was very spacious and comfortable. Lovely tour on the river if the 6 bridges with lots of history and information. We also had a port tasting of 4 different types. Raul also gave us some great restaurant recommendations for dinner that night. Highly recommend.

A sunset to remember - We were greeted at the Douro Marina by Raúl the captain of the ship who was so welcoming and kind to my wife and two children. He was ably assisted by Jorge as we travelled along the Douro river to view the amazing sunset on Wednesday, the 19th of February 2025. During the journey Raúl explained the history and significance of the various buildings along the banks River Douro. We even had a chance to steer the boat for a bit during the course of the journey.
I cannot stress the fantastic experience that Raul and Jorge had provided my family and I that evening.
Our journey in life is filled with experiences and the Douro River cruise was a wonderful memory for us.
To Raúl and Jorge, I thank you for that memory which we will cherish for a long time to come.
I cannot recommend this tour enough. It is a great cruise with two amazing people.

Do NOT do a group tour-you MUST do this! You won't regret it. - Raul was a great Host on our private sunset cruise. He is so personable and speaks fluent English. And he took a ton of photos of us on my iphone which was so nice to have versus 'selfies'. The boat was really comfortable and this was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. We saw a lot of group tour boats and they were packed with people, while we enjoyed the entire boat to ourselves, with our own 'tour guide' :-)

Book it now! It is definitely worth it - Raul is the bestEST, most attentive host. He shared lots of fascinating stories about Portugal, Porto & Porto wine. Wine tasting with a sunset view was breathtaking. Raul took massive amount of pictures of us during the trip. Definitely recommend

Nice afternoon cruise along the Douro - Wonderful two-hour cruise in the Douro with Captain Harold and his trusty colleague. His argonaut vessel is a nice way to enjoy the river and surrounding sights. He is a font of knowledge about the river, Porto and port vino, especially red and white by Real Campanha Velha! He takes great pics and videos with your camera too! Enjoy an outing with Capt Harold when in Porto!

A must in Porto - This was such a fun tour. We got to watch the sunset and see Porto from the water. It was truly beautiful and we got lucky with such great weather. Raul was wonderful and he took really good care of us. I highly recommend this tour.

See Porto from an even nicer spot! - This was my 2nd trip with Raul and like last year, again, it was really nice! Raul is an excellent host and we enjoyed the tour on his boat, his stories about the history of Porto but most of all: the tasting of his selection of very nice port wines! We also went up outside the river mouth and spent some time at the Atlantic enjoying the coast line and harbour of Porto. I can only recommend this with a small group but Raul now also bought a bigger ship, Dutch origin - called Lady Moon - this sloop can even carry 16 people, just fantastic for your tour with friends!
