The best of Yucatán in one day - This tour offers the perfect mix of history, nature, and culture. The visit to Chichén Itzá was guided by a knowledgeable and friendly expert, the cenote where we swam was clean and beautiful, and Valladolid is a charming town to explore. Everything was punctual and well-coordinated. Ideal for anyone looking to experience the best of Yucatán in one day.

Order of events; Mayan... - Order of events; Mayan history, lunch & chocolate tasting, Chichen Itza Temple, Saamal Cenote & finally the town Valladolid. A bit touristy with too many vendors, but the lunch was incredible chocolate was delicious temple was mind blowing (maybe a lil too short of time here also needed to pay additional tax per person prior to arrival on bus) Cenote was stunning (have to purchase life jackets for swimming & lockers for change of clothes) Valladoid was dark by the time we arrived there & too little of time. Overall the tour was great the tour guide very knowledgeable & passionate about his culture & history! Great opportunity to explore and learn about the Mayan history!

Glad we did it, but use with caution - Pros: excellent guide! Jorge was great. Bus is cool and roomy. The stops are mostly great, and the history of the places is very detailed. Chichen Itza is a must see! For people not purchasing the drinks included, they are quite affordable on the bus. The chocolate testing was amazing! Cons: -trip states a 7-7 day where I booked. It was 15. By the time we returned, all the buffet options at our hotel were over. The answer from the second guide on the bus? “Just get room service.” Not helpful. Not professional. Just as we were on time, return us on time. BRING SNACKS AND WATER. I am so glad we did. It was 7:30-10:35. -The driver wears a tequila vest and squirts it into everyone’s mouths. We didn’t care, but a heads up for done who might. He’s drinking steady and driving you home. - finding the bus after Chichen Itza is HARD. The guide should come get the customers. They really hard sell the “we’ll leave you behind if you’re not back, so look for the bus number”, but when we tried, we couldn’t find it and were told by a man unloading a van that busses have to circle because they can’t park indefinitely, and so it was a miracle we found it. After a day in 38 degree heat, I found that a joke. -The “Mayan” buffet is deep fried food and pizza. The servers were rude to us, probably because we didn’t speak Spanish, and everyone else on the bus did. It was very rushed and you feel heavily pushed to tip the dancers, who come right up to you while you eat, trill in your ear, and hold out a tip hat. This is after you are marched through a gift shop. I’m not convinced this is a Mayan village. It’s a tour operator’s stop.

Too long - This is a very long day with much of the time in the morning spent driving long distances to pick up others for the trip. The cenote and stop for lunch were nice but the restaurant was very hot. I felt that we were nickle and dimed along the way. In addition the tour guide did not speak to the english speaking guests as much as he did the spanish speaking guests making us feel as though we did not get the full benefit of the tour guide. I would not recommend this excursion.

The worst experience - The worst experience. They sent us an email with the address of Barcelo Maya Palace and we were staying at Barcelo Maya Tropical. Maybe we arrived at our meeting point and half an hour after our schedule they send us a video that they were in the Barcelo Maya Colonial and since we were not there they were leaving . We called many times and did not pick up the phone in conclusion left and mistakenly left us from them who did not place the place well. So I take it as scam we have the text messages that they didn't answer. I don't recommend it.
