Revving Up in Coral Bay

The sun was just beginning to rise over the horizon as my group of thrill-seekers and I gathered at the starting point of our latest adventure: the Cyprus Buggy Adventure. As a former extreme sports athlete, I’ve experienced my fair share of adrenaline-pumping activities, but the promise of exploring the rugged terrain of Coral Bay in a buggy had my heart racing with anticipation.

We were picked up from our hotel at 9 AM sharp, and after a short drive, we arrived at the office where the adventure would begin. The team, a small Cypriot family business, welcomed us warmly and provided us with goggles and a quick briefing on how to handle the buggies. The Adonis Baths Waterfalls were a highlight, and while the water was still a bit chilly in April, a few brave souls from our group took the plunge. I opted to stay dry, but the sight of the crystal-clear water cascading down the rocks was mesmerizing.

As we continued our journey, we stopped at the Lara Bay Turtle Conservation Station. The conservation efforts here are commendable, and it was a privilege to witness the dedication to preserving the natural habitat of these incredible creatures. The bay itself was a serene spot, perfect for a quick swim or simply soaking in the sun.

A Dusty, Delicious Finale

By the time we reached the end of our adventure, we were covered in a fine layer of dust, a testament to the thrilling ride we’d just experienced. We returned to the office, handed back our goggles, and retrieved our driving licenses. The team had prepared a BBQ lunch for us, a hearty spread of chicken, roasted potatoes, and salad. While the menu could use a bit of variety, the meal was a satisfying end to an exhilarating day.

As we made our way back to the hotel, I couldn’t help but reflect on the day’s events. The Cyprus Buggy Adventure had delivered on its promise of unforgettable memories, and I was already looking forward to my next adrenaline-fueled escapade.
