He definitely knows his ‘stuff’ and has a great way of explaining the basics to his audience. I would highly recommend him for this tour. I felt like I learned a lot.

Normandy in a day. - We really enjoyed John. He was very knowledgeable about his subject, old songs and recommendations. You could tell he loves what he does. He was very personable and didn’t deliver info like a typical tour guide.

Incredible tour - Great tour, visiting Utah Beach, Pont DU Hoc and the American Cemetery. John had an amazing amount of knowledge regarding the history of France, providing a background to the events of Normandy. Very informative and just incredible to stand in the same places where all this history took place. If you have the chance it's something everyone should experience and it's definitely a bonus to have John lead the way.

Long day but worth it - John knows his stuff! He was very informative and made the entire day very interesting. Having Whispers for people on the tour would help us hear everything he said. The pizza at lunch was not good. I don’t understand how John can wear shorts in the cold, windy weather and survive!

Normandy - Incredible to still see the remains of the Nazi fortifications and the devastation caused by the allied bombardment. Our guide John has a passion for history that’s infectious. We left our tour looking forward to reading and learning more about the longest day. Viva la France!

Fantastic experience! We loved our guides, beautiful countryside, and fascinating historical sites. - My daughters and I were so impressed by the knowledge and charisma of our guides, John and Sid. The history of the sites and beauty of the countryside will be something that we will won't soon forget. The bus was comfortable, lunch was tasty, and the cider tasting was a fantastic experience. Walking through the bunkers and the cemetery was one of the most moving experiences. I was amazed that my hands were touching stone and metal that had been touched by soldiers, and my feet walked the same soil where so many men took their last breaths. Truly one of the best experiences of our week in Paris.

NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY! - The trip included all the elements that were advertised, but we did not have nearly enough time at the landmark places of Utah Beach and Omaha Beech. We had to go to an out-of-the-way restaurant for lunch that was not good and stopped at a fruit farm that took too much time. We spent more time on the bus then on the actual visit. And our guide was not that good; very nice, but not informative. So I would say save your money and take the train from Paris and then rent a car. Absolutely go see this historical sites at Normandy, but for the price this tour is not worth it.
