Enjoyable and Informative Experience - This was the perfect introduction to Panama City, especially the Casco Veijo area. Nicole, our guide, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and shared with us her passion for the food and culture of the area. We enjoyed Panamanian coffee, chocolates (yum!), local beers, a variety of ceviche from the local fish markets, and topped off the evening in a rooftop bar at sunset enjoying the local rum. I’d highly recommend this experience.

Best tour guide and wonderful experience! - This was a fantastic tour with the best guide ever! Lots of great stories while enjoying food and drink in Casco Viejo. I would highly recommend Barefoot Panama for any tours!

Good walking drinking/food tour - We took this on the day we landed in Panama. It was a good tour through Casco Viejo and we definitely tried things we wouldn’t have without this tour, especially the seafood market. Our guide was great and really knowledgeable.

An amazing sampling experience that makes you feel like a local! - After reading the description (😉) the tour provides everything it says and even a little more! It was so fun walking through Casco Viejo, learning, drinking, and tasting everything that Panama has to offer! Nicole did such a good job not only leading the tour and conveying her knowledge but also promoting an exceptional atmosphere! A fun experience, interrupted. - We (four of us) were having a great time with Jorge and the other visitors. Our tour got stopped by a protest, with tear gas nearby. We cut the place we were headed for and did just one more stop. It was fine, just took the shine off the whole thing.

Not a food tour - Jorge is friendly but the tour is not a food tour. Food tour should consist of multiple tastings of local cuisine. Chocolate, beer and a plate of ceviche don't represent Panamanian food scene. Jorge did recommend us to an excellent restaurant at the end of the tour but I am totally disappointed with this tour.

Good walking tour with some samples - Our tour guide, Janet was great. While on the tour we got to sample chocolate, beers, coffee, rum, and ceviche. Since this is named/advertised as a food tour I do wish there were more food options included, but we did enjoy our time with Janet learning about the history of Panama and strolling thru Casco Viejo. The views from the rum tasting restaurant rooftop are absolutely beautiful at night!

NOT a FOOD tour - Not a food tour despite the capital letters in the title. The plan was to start with coffee and chocolate, go to beer tasting. Then (finally) head to get ceviche (four of the five promised Panamanian dishes). However, due to the rain, the trip was redirected into another local bar, where, after half an hour and a bottle of rum for the table, a ceviche appetizer was finally delivered. If we had had an accurate description, we never would have booked this tour, especially with a family of non-beer drinkers (one underage).

Please Don’t Even Call This a Smpler Tour - This was not even a “sampler” tour. We split a flight of beer and had to have extra glasses to split amongst four of us and then made a mess of the table. Guide was lost and confused most of the night and then had the nerve to ask for a tip. Not good. The fact that the owner of this tour is criticizing those (aggressively) those writing a negative review should tell you plenty.

Disappointing - Exactly what is stated in the experience...not much food and not much history/guidance. "foodie-focused tour" should be removed. People are probably loath to leave a true review with all the negative feedback from the owner when honest.
