Amazing experience and educational too! - We had an excellent experience on this tour - visiting the historic sites of Goa and learning about the colonial history, the impact of the Catholic Church, as well as the still very strong influence of Hinduism - the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Bom Jesus Basilica with the relics of St Francis Xavier, the Church of St Francis of Assisi, and the Sé (St Catherine) Cathedral, were amazing to behold and to participate in the Hindu arti ritual at the Shree Mangueshi Temple was also a special highlight. Our tour guide, Dnyandeep, was super - he was very knowledgeable, friendly, patient and accommodating. We were never rushed at any of the sites on the tour and were able to take our time and take in the specialness of these religious sites, with Dnyandeep providing historical information and social and cultural details. The Tropical Spice Plantation tour was also excellent - our guide, Susmita, was very helpful in providing information on many of the plants, trees, fruits, and spices on the grounds of the plantation. The lunch was plentiful and delicious, with a lot of options and the food was made in the local Goan style. The cashew feni tasting was a fun way to end the tour. Our driver, Krishna, was also excellent and friendly, and drove us around safely from place to place. Definitely highly recommend this tour.

Book this tour if you want to see the real face of Goa heritage and its people - Nice to see the heritage quaint side of goa. This tour covers some of the less travelled spots with a great heritage value. It shows you the overall context of the heritage and spirituality of Goa too. This is why liked booking this tour since it is not about the typical party going tag of the Goa as a destination. Food in the spice plantation after the vists was of typical local goa menu and it was good too!

explore the tourism in Goa that is not about just beaches - Thanks to the tour agency for showing us something that was not related to beaches of Goa. It was so amazing to see something that represented the values and beliefs of local Goa people

As a solo traveller this trip cost approx £90 via TripAdvisor. Probably worth half that. - 5* for Krishan the driver, real great guy. The guide at the Spanish church although extremely knowledge rattled through his dialogue faster than I could keep up with. Any questions were greeted with a puzzled luck and a shake of the head. Ultimately it was just another church as was the second site across the road built by the Spanish around 1600. Here an old gentleman with equally good historical knowledge, and who claimed to be the priest, walked my around and then demanded 10k rupees. The next stop was a beautiful Hindu temple who wouldn't allow me in as I was wearing shorts in 33 degree heat. The Spice Farm tour was interesting, and bought a couple of gifts, but the food was very basic.
