Highly recommend the Michigan Samurai Armour & Kimono Experience! - This was such a fun and interactive activity. After watching the samurai show, we had the opportunity to learn how to wield a sword. We listened to traditional music and then were able to try the instruments ourselves. The tea ceremony was very interesting and the staff were so kind in their explanations. I thoroughly enjoyed the calligraphy class and we were able to write Japanese words and our names onto a fan to take home. I highly recommend this activity if you are visiting Osaka!

Michi Samurai Review - Michi Samurai Fantastic experience with a glimpse initi Japanese culture. We had a samurai demonstration followed by our turn at wielding the sword after a brief lesson. The movement is harder than it looks. The calligraphy was next. I certainly had little expectations from this activity but really enjoyed the art. A tea ceremony with proper Japanese formality but we learn how to make proper matcha tea, and of course the drink. The final show was traditional musical performance and again we had our chance of playing music. The show was well above expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed it. You won’t be disappointed!

Michi samurai show and traditional activities review - We didn’t expect much but what a treat! We were greeted with a samurai fighting demonstration, and even had a go at sword fighting. The calligraphy came next abs was a lot harder than we thought. But thoroughly enjoyed the experience. A traditional tea ceremony followed with matcha tea which we had to prepare in a formal setting. The final part was a music performance and we even had a chance to play the Shamisen, an instrument with long lute and small square body with three strings. Overall, it was well worth it. A wonderful experience and recommended show for anyone visiting Osaka.

Many fun hands on activities - It was a great experience! The teachers for each activity are very professional, welcoming and knowledgeable. The translator there was amazing and so helpful. The calligraphy and tea experience were our favorite. We also got to play a traditional instrument which was a lot of fun. Would highly recommend.

Must do when you are in Osaka,Japan - We were on a Princess Cruise and booked this thru Viator. We took a taxi to the place and that is where you were taught about Japanese culture! They were so happy to explain and give us a great experience. The dressing in the samurai outfits for the men and women in kimono, the traditional music and trying the instruments, sword display and of course you get to try, the tea ceremony was fun to make and learn about, then calligraphy and printing it on a fan to take home!! This place was top notch! Truly must do if you’re on a cruise!!

Samurai armor, kimono experience and more! - Amazing glimpse of Japanese culture! The staff was so inviting and helpful! There were 6 people in our group and 3 of us dressed in Samurai armor and 3 of us in Kimonos. First We were taught all the intricacies of the various layers of clothing. Then we learned sword fighting, how to play two different musical instruments, how to do calligraphy and also how to make tea. We all agree that the 3 hour experience was one of our best!
