New to diving? Explore our beginner-friendly PADI Discover Scuba Diving Experience. First-time divers can benefit from a one-on-one training session, where you’ll learn the fundamental safety rules and techniques required for diving, all under the watchful eye of a certified PADI professional, followed by a guided tour of the magnificent reef! Marvel at the diverse marine life that calls Hawaii’s famous reefs their home – from sharks, turtles, and eels to rays, octopus, starfish, crabs, unique Hawaiian fish, dolphins, and much more!

- All divers must provide weight, and date of birth and be able to swim.
- Divers must NOT be flying within 24 hours of diving.
- Dive Oahu has a 48-hour cancellation policy. Cancellation within 48 hours of the scheduled dive will result in forfeit of payment.
- Minimum age 10 years old! 10-11 year old require an additional fee.
- Must review and clear a medical questionnaire prior to diving. No refunds will be given for a failed medical release within the cancellation period

Fun, Clean, Safe, and Successful! - Our family had a wonderful instructor (Ami) and captain (Nacho)
We loved the boat ride and they took excellent care of us!
Capt. Nacho heard there were whales in the area and made a point to help us go see them! That was such a bonus gift. During our dive we saw turtles, a reef shark, and so many fish. The water was crystal clear and the dive was a success. The team made sure everyone was set from equipment to snacks/beverages. I am so grateful that we felt safe, cared for, and that we had a great time seeing the sea life. Thank you!

Wonderful first diving experience! - It was my first time diving- and the team was extremely awesome!
My friend and I ended up being the only two people on the charter- essentially giving us a private tour!!!
My instructor- Kevin was wonderful and made me feel very informed and prepared to dive into the water! My friend’s guide- Jordan- was also great and showed us lots of sea life! The caption was great too- Adam made us feel super safe on the boat. All three of them were super friendly and kind- obviously very passionate about diving and marine life!
The discover dive was also extremely beginner friendly- I could always see the bottom of the reef- so I never felt scared (like in open water) and it helped that the sea life was abundant so there was plenty to look at while you’re down there!
All in all a wonderful experience! If you have the cash to burn I highly recommend for first time divers!

Great experience with Dive Oahu!!! - My friends and I completed our first dive today!!!!
It was the most exciting thing I’ve done since arriving to Hawaii.
Really satisfied with the decision of completing it with Dive Ohau.
Our instructors, Colton and Aami were really helpful and guided us in doing our best. They were also assisted by Heather, Emmerald and Adam.
I 10/10 recommend going for a dive with them!!!!

Your Preferred Dive Shop - Use this shop for your next dive! They were recommended by my Marriott hotel, but I did book directly. I was very happy to have a referral.
I'm not PADI yet, so I booked the Discover scuba experience. The captain, Nacho, was excellent, explained everything to us and answered all of our questions. The rest of the crew were awesome! They explained all of the details of the two dives and made sure we were clear and comfortable with the quick in water exercises we were required to perform - don't worry, they will fully help you be successful! I was pretty comfortable with the dives, but the PADI guide was there every flip of your fin. We saw about 6 sea turtles, a moray eel, a trumpet fish, and many other colorful fish.

AMAZING Experience with Dive Oahu - Highly Recommend!! - If it's you're first time scuba diving, I highly recommend Dive Oahu. I was extremely nervous but the crew was so nice and were willing to give me enough time to make sure I was comfortable before going in for the dive. The dive instructor, Sam, was patient with me through every skill we practiced and constantly kept checking on us when we had gone for our dive. The dive itself was breath taking. The water was clear and we saw so many fishes and even a sea turtle! The diving boat itself was very clean and all the equipment are great quality. All in all - if you are feeling hesitant about going diving with Dive Oahu, don't be.

Best dive organizer on the island! - We had an awesome time. The crew was super friendly and everything dive related was very professional and “safety-first”. We got to see tons of ocean wildlife including dolphins, turtles and an eel! Our dive guide was amazing (forget his name but he kind of looks like Justin Turner)

Xmas day dive made special for my daughters first dive - Booked my daughter in for her first discovery dive in the ocean.
It was the 7:30am on Xmas day and we were the only divers on the boat. They took us to Turtle canyon.
Kevin, the dive master, took great care of my 10-year-old daughter as he assessed her skills.
We had 2 excellent dives, and my daughter loved the experience. the second dive lasted for 46 minutes since there was only the 3 of us.
Adam, the skipper, was very knowledgeable about the place and kept us well entertained in between dives.
Keeping to their oath of "leaving the ocean cleaner than we found it", Kevin picked up some discarded electronics on the dive and then before heading back to shore they pulled in a discarded mattress floating out to sea rescuing a couple of lizards that had hitched a ride. .
Highly recommend Dive Oahu, I ended up doing 6 dives with this company during my holiday after not planning to dive. All the dive master's I met and dived with Heather, Leslie, Walter and Nacho were great as well and knew where to take us.

Amazing experience! - I highly recommend it! Nacho, Colton, Em & Lexie were amazing guides! Everything went really smoothly and I spent lots of time under water. The introduction was pretty quick so it didn't take too long to get to the diving, but Colton still made sure that I know how to dive properly.
I saw all types of corrals, fishes, turtles and even a shark (shark was sleeping & Colton asked me before if I want to see one)!!
I had an adventure that I will never forget. Thank you for that!

GREAT EXPERIENCE - Crew was amazing and laid back. They were very patient with my sudden seasick issues. They left the option up to me to get back in the water and were very patient in teaching. Would definitely recommend

Great experience - We can’t say enough about the excursion and staff! My family of 4 (two teen boys 13&16) had an amazing time! Sam was our instructor and he was amazing… Sam was extremely patient, encouraging and didn’t leave our sides! We were first time discover divers and he handled us all with no issues and made us feel safe! We had amazing pictures/videos captured by Jordan. Jordan was also very encouraging and helpful with the dives (even tho he was there to be our photographer). I had issues with diving due to my ears not cooperating with the pressure… Sam and Jordan did not give up on me, but I decided to let my guys go and I stayed up and snorkeled with Brittany (another Instructor). My bucket list goal was to see a sea turtle… and I saw 5 during the snorkel!!! My guys got to see a sea turtle and had an amazing photo capturing the experience! Nacho was the captain and ensured we all had a great time! Highly recommend this group and excursion!
