Highly recommend. - I was a little skeptical when I was choosing a tour and saw all the 5-star reviews, but I just finished the tour and absolutely rate it 5 stars. Dive Oahu provided all the equipment, it was high quality, clean and well-maintained. Same with the boat. Dive Oahu emphasized safety without losing the fun atmosphere. Three of the four people in our group were newbies, and Dive Oahu made everything easy and low stress. There was a high staff to tourist ratio (1:2) on the tour, and the staff member with the snorklers, Justin, was patient, friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable about everything we saw. My kids (who are in their twenties) did the Certified Diver tour and also had a great experience. Nacho, Justin, Jerod, Ammi, and Colton were terrific!

Awesome snorkel experience for a group of varying swim levels - My snorkel adventure with Nacho, Jared, & Jeffrey aboard the Stress Relief was a blast! Not only does the crew love their work, it's a way of life for them. They have plenty of great stories about the island to share. There were great sights of Waikiki both above and below the ocean surface. We got plenty of opportunities to swim near sea turtles. We were able to see different types of coral & sealife all along Waikiki Beach. I highly recommend this company for anyone looking to snorkel or dive on Oahu. We will book them again the next time we're in Honolulu!

Rachel made our Dive Oahu experience unforgettable! - Our experience with Rachel at Dive Oahu was beyond amazing. I did the snorkeling portion while my fiancée was diving for the first time in nearly ten years! Rachel went above and beyond to make her feel safe, supported, and encouraged every step of the way. My fiancée had some nerves at first and wasn’t ready to dive right away. Rachel was endlessly patient, never pushy, and created such a calm, trusting environment. When my fiancée decided to give it another try later on, Rachel welcomed her back with so much kindness and positivity — no judgment, no pressure, just genuine encouragement. It was incredibly affirming to witness, and it made all the difference in her experience. On top of her empathy and warmth, Rachel is deeply knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what she does. She’s easy to talk to, a wonderful teacher, and simply a joy to be around. If you’re diving in Oahu, ask for Rachel — she’ll make your experience not just safe and fun, but truly meaningful.

Great experience if you can get around the corwd - They know exactly where to take you to see a variety of marine life. We saw stingrays, turtles and lots of fish. Oh, and a seal in the harbor as we pulled in. The only thing is, there were lots of other snorkelers all in the same area, so it can be a bit crowded at times. Our guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out things to look at as we swam along the canyon. The boat was clean and up to regulation. They even had snacks and water for us on the boat. We had a great time!

Family Fun! - Nacho, Austin, Justin and Josh were fantastic! Our whole crew had a great time with the Oahu Dive Shop crew! Would definitely recommend!

Boat Captain Adam is Awesome!! - Special shout out to an awesome boat captain Captain Adam!! Adam was amazing and did such a great job with his dive briefing, boat briefing, dive location knowledge and overall boat handling. We felt so comfortable with he and the crew at Dive Oahu!!

Turtles - Awesome snorkeling experience. Was able to see many turtles while snorkeling. Do not miss this one!!!!

Ocean adventure with professional ease - Nacho and Jerry and Gordon were friendly and professional and put us at ease. The day was gorgeous. Gordon showed us the turtles. Took great photos for another group.

Not for Snorkelers – Disappointing Experience Across the Board - If you’re looking for a snorkeling adventure, look elsewhere. This company should be upfront that their focus is on SCUBA diving, not snorkeling. I booked this expecting a fun, scenic, in-water experience — and it fell far short in every category. TLDR: Skip this tour. Choose a company with better locations, cleaner boats, and more thoughtful planning. Key Issues: 1. Poor Planning & Disrespect for Time You’re asked to arrive 30 minutes early, only to wait by a foul-smelling dumpster for 45 minutes. The tour started 15 minutes late. My time matters too — this was avoidable and inconsiderate. 2. Boat Conditions Not filthy, but not clean either. The persistent mildew smell likely comes from damp gear. Not exactly setting the tone for an enjoyable trip. 3. Misleading Location Description They advertised “Turtle Cove”, but took us to a generic area just 3 miles off the harbor, surrounded by dozens of other boats. It was overcrowded chaos. • I was kicked multiple times by others in the water. • The view? Waikiki hotels — same as the shoreline. • Water was murky and full of boat traffic, which likely impacts visibility and wildlife. 4. Second Location - Still a Bust Yes, it was more isolated. But I saw maybe 20 fish before giving up after 15 minutes. Even the SCUBA divers didn’t stay long — that says a lot. 5. Weak Atmosphere No music. No ambiance. The “snacks” were cheap granola bars and gummy packs — not even decent brands. 6. Staff - Mixed Bag Overall, just OK. Not particularly friendly or engaging. Maia was the one standout — she deserves to work somewhere better Final Word: Don’t waste your money. This tour is misrepresented and underdelivers. If you’re serious about snorkeling or even just hoping for a memorable time on the water, book with another company.
