Great group surf lesson! - Had a blast with Andy! Our family was visiting from Alaska and wanted to get a little surf time in. The beach we took our lesson was across the street from where we were staying in Punaluu, super convenient and great learners beach spot. He was chill and a great teacher, my kids were ages 9, 11, 14, 17 and my husband and I did the lesson as well. 🤙🏽

Unforgettable Family Surf Lesson with an Incredible Instructor! - We had an incredible experience with 808 Surf School! Our family of four (ages 11 to 52) took a lesson with Mike as our instructor, and we couldn’t be more pleased. We asked for a bit of a challenge, and Mike delivered—pushing us just enough to grow our skills while always keeping us safe and confident. His communication was clear and encouraging, and he worked tirelessly to make sure we got exactly the experience we were hoping for. The balance of fun, challenge, and safety made it a perfect session for both the kids and adults. Mike’s professionalism and positive energy truly made this one of the highlights of our trip. Highly, highly, highly recommend 808 Surf School. You won’t be disappointed!

Great for families with kids - Great private lesson for the three of us: myself (male 46 YO), son 13 YO and daughter 10 YO. Coach Jerry was experienced, confident and relatable. My daughter changed her mind last minute, but he too care of her, rode the board with her to enjoy the waves and build confidence. Could not ask for more.

Great teacher!! - Andy and Mike were great keeping in contact with the changing tides. Andy was the instructor for 2 teens and 2 young adults and did amazing! They all were able to get on the boards and really enjoyed their time. It was so much fun to watch! Highly recommend!!!

Surfing newbies even figured it out! - Andy was our instructor. Great guy! He was fantastic! Patient with us Montana surf newbies. All 3 of us got up by the end. The 1st 20 min was intruction and.the rest was in the water figuring it out. Highly recommend.

AWESOME!!! - This was a great experience! Andy did an amazing job making sure we understood everything before getting in the water. I would definitely take lessons from him again! He is very encouraging and patient when he teaches, and tells you what adjustments to make when needed.

Best surf school in Oahu!! Highly recommend - Our surf experience with 808 surf school was a 10/10. Both Mike and Andy were extremely friendly, helpful and fun!!! They made my first experience surfing something I will not forget. A MUST DO when visiting Oahu, looking forward to going back.

best day on oahu, 10/10 experience - This was the best surf experience i’ve ever had as a beginner surfer. Mike was so helpful & fun & you walk away feeling like you’ve known him forever. Best thing we’ve done on the island! We will definitely be booking with them for all future trips

Awesome first-time surfing experience for our teens - My three teens (ages 13-18) had an awesome first-time surfing trip with Hugo!! They loved it so much they went back for another excursion with him the next day! We were grateful for Hugo’s instruction and kindness, but Hugo expressed his genuine gratitude for us. The surf school also importantly chose a suitable location for us - and literally we were the only surfers learning out there at that time, so we definitely appreciated not being in a crowded place.
