Crappy weather? Best time to get a private tour! - Despite the chilly weather, our tour ended up being a "private walking tour" with Jon and it was absolutely delightful! His knowledge of the city was impressive, and they made sure we stayed warm and comfortable. Because it was our family only, we had all of the attention and shuffled through the cold streets a little faster than we would have with a large group. A truly unique and memorable experience!

Entertaining and flavoursome - Derrick was a real star and gave us a very entertaining tour of this area of NY and its flavours. What I enjoyed the most as a solo traveller, was the interaction with other travellers. The food tasted is a representation of how multicultural NY is, however as a well seasoned traveller who lives in a big city, there were not many surprises. The other thing I will say, I did at a short notice and encouraged by someone else, and whilst there’s no fault with the tour or Derrick, only having 48h in NY I would have preferred to use my time in more touristic spots. So I would only recommend if you have plenty of time to explore the less touristic parts of this city.
