Wonderful to experience a really authentic local tour in the Sanjay Colony area. - We thoroughly enjoyed this trip to Sanjay Slum Colony. Vijay provided us with a great experience and insight into this local area of Delhi where women work in the clothing recycling industry to help to support their families. We learnt about their living conditions, the way water was sourced for each home, the local sanitation situation, a local doctors visit and a school. The area felt surprisingly clean and calm. The locals were friendly especially the children who were excited to see our pale faces! Vijay was respectful to both the locals and ourselves. His tour was so informative and well organised. We travelled on the metro together which was so much better than on the street - fast and clean! Highly recommend this tour because it provides an insight into a way of life you would not experience otherwise. A very authentic tour. We enjoyed our time with Vijay so much we took his food street tour with him too.

Amazing tour! Great guide - Vijay! - Amazing tour. Very interesting and full of color day! I am glad that we had the courage to book these tour, because it is very different than other tours (Taj, Akshardham, old and new city..). Our GREAT guide give us a lot of explanation about the way of leaving of the ordinary people in the colony and the people there were very nice without be unpolite. It was one of the best experience in India due to VIJAY! We had the chance to visit a house in the colony , to see the people when they work, to see the kids at school, to see families in theirs home.

A very positive experience - We really enjoyed our slum tour in Delhi, especially as Nisha grew up here and is very passionate about spreading the word about where she was educated and how the slum has evolved during her lifetime. We also learnt lots about the trading inside the slum and how it encompasses a whole living and working community.

A Great Insight - We had a great morning with Nisha. The tour was made so much more special by a person who has lived there and has such a positive attitude and wealth of knowledge about her area. I would highly recommend this tour and Nisha as it was a fantastic insight to this part of Delhi.

A real and unconventional experience in less touristy Delhi - This is a must-see experience if you want to see a real Delhi without filters. Vijai, the guide, was born and raised in this area and is able to convey the soul of these places as only a real local can do. The places impress with the situations so different that a Western tourist can find there, but at the same time surprise with the unexpected tranquility of the daily life of this area. In short, if you are in Delhi you definitely have to try it.

An upsetting and rewarding experience. - ​The visit to the slum of the Sanjay settlement, guided by Vijay, was an upsetting and rewarding experience. Despite the English barrier, Vijay, himself from this milieu, has shown us the slum in a new light: that of resilience and ambition. It is not just poverty that we have seen, but individuals fighting for a better life. Multilingual and educated, Vijay is dedicated to changing perceptions about slums and, free of charge, helping young people get by by offering them classes. His intelligence and commitment offer a unique and human perspective. An indispensable visit to New Delhi to discover an unknown facet, guided by a beautiful person. We highly recommend this experience done as a couple.
