Then, visit the Taj Mahal, a masterpiece of Mughal art and one of the world’s most iconic structures. Later, head to Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, offering the best views of the Taj Mahal. Spanning 94 acres (34 hectares), Agra Fort showcases a blend of Hindu and Islamic architecture. Conclude your day with a visit to Mehtab Bagh for a stunning sunset view of the Taj Mahal.
Day 2: Agra – Jaipur (204 kilometers/approximately 4.5 hours)
After breakfast, explore the Hall of Public Audience and the Royal Pavilions. Next, visit the tomb of Itimad-ud-Daula (Baby Taj), a significant monument in Agra known for its intricate carvings and inlay work, considered a precursor to the Taj Mahal.
Check out from your hotel and head to Fatehpur Sikri, a well-preserved red stone city built in 1569 A.D. by Mughal Emperor Akbar, also known as the Ghost City. Finally, return to your hotel in Jaipur.
