Qutub Minar - In New Delhi we visit the 11th century Qutab Minar Tower, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty, who took possession of Delhi in 1206. It is a red sandstone tower, standing tall at a height of 72.5 metres and is covered with intricate carvings and verses from the holy Qur’an.
Red Fort - Drive past Red Fort (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) - Founded by Emperor Shah Jahan and surrounded by a magnificent 18m-high wall, this fort took 10 years to construct (1638–48) and is rumored to have had the decapitated bodies of prisoners built into the foundations for luck.
Raj Ghat - Raj Ghat On the banks of the Yamuna River, this peaceful, very well maintained park contains a simple black-marble platform marking the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated following his assassination in 1948.
Parliament House - Parliament House also known as the Sansad Bhavan consists of the the two houses/assemblies of India, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha and drive past the grand government buildings, including the President’s House and Parliament House all dating back to the time of the British Raj.
