Delhi to Agra by Train + City Tour and 4-Hrs drive to Jaipur

New Delhi Railway Station - 5am Get picked up from your hotel in New Delhi and transfer to the railway station, where you will board the deluxe train to Agra.

6am - The Shatabdi Express (train no. 12002) departs from New Delhi Railway Station. (Breakfast is served on board).

Agra Cantt - 8am - Arrive at the railway station in Agra and be greeted at the main exit gate to board your private vehicle. Meet your tour guide in the lobby of your hotel.

Taj Mahal - 9am - visit the magnificent Taj Mahal (Closed on Fridays), a UNESCO World Heritage Site one of the Seven Wonders of the World and surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men labored for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan’s beloved wife. It’s a wealth of white marble and semi-precious stone – « undoubtedly the highlight of the tour ».

Agra Fort - 11am - Next we, enjoy tour of the imposing Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this powerful fortress of red sandstone encompasses, within its 2.5-km-long enclosure walls, the imperial city of the Mughal rulers. It comprises many fairy-tale palaces, such as the Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal, built by Shah Jahan; audience halls, such as the Diwan-i-Khas; and two very beautiful mosques.

Carpet House Agra - After lunch some shopping tour of Agra to explore the local handicrafts centers of the city where we can look for Agra’s major handicraft products besides marble inlay work, fine quality carpets, jewelry and embroidery, brassware, leather goods, etc.

Agra - 3pm - Then 4-hrs drive to the old walled city of Jaipur. Founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II, this ‘pink city’ is meticulously constructed on the lines of the Shilpa-Shastra, an ancient Hindu treatise on architecture. The city’s ancient palaces and forts have borne witness to countless royal processions and fabulous splendor.

Jaipur City Tour and Train to Delhi

Amber Palace - Meet your guide at your Jaipur hotel in Jaipur at approximately 8am. Begin the tour by visiting the Amber Fort. The Amber Fort is situated on a ridge just outside Jaipur City and is beautifully reflected in the lake below. Inside the fort, you will encounter the world-renowned Jai Mandir temple with its dazzling Sheesh Mahal hall of mirrors. The walls and the ceiling of the Mahal are covered with a beautiful array of mirrors, which reflect any streak of light, illuminating the entire room.

Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind - Drive pass the Hawa Mahal, another Rajput landmark also known as the Palace of the Winds, for more photo opportunities. The five story Hawa Mahal was built in 1799A.D. along the main street of the old city. It is a pink sandstone masterpiece with semi-octagonal and delicately honeycombed windows.

City Palace of Jaipur - You will visit the City Palace and Ovservetory which is located in the heart of the old city. Once the royal residence of the King of Jaipur, the palace was built using a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal styles. It features carved arches, intricately crafted columns and two carved marble elephants that guard the entrance.

Jaipur Railway Station - 5:20pm After a memorable day, transfer to the railway station in Jaipur for your journey back to Delhi. (Train departs at 5:50pm and dinner is served on board).

New Delhi Railway Station Gate 2 - 10:40pm Train arrives into New Delhi Railway Station, and you will be dropped back at your Delhi hotel soon after.

The private 2 day tour from New... - <p>The private 2 day tour from New Delhi to Agra and Jaipur was an incredible experience. It was so convenient. They had someone pick us up and show us around everywhere and they planned everything for us. Ashok was or second guide and he was amazing (definitely recommend him) great tour!</p>
