Setting Sail with Captain Mario

The sun was just beginning to rise over Nassau as I made my way to the dock by Senior Frogs, where Captain Mario was waiting to greet us. His warm smile and easygoing nature immediately set the tone for the day. Alongside him were Captain Yellow and Gabe, our guides for this unforgettable adventure. Their friendly banter and infectious laughter made it feel like we were setting off with old friends rather than tour guides.

As we picked up a few more fellow adventurers, the anticipation in the air was palpable. Our first destination was Pig Beach, a place I’d heard so much about but never had the chance to experience. Our journey continued to Green Cay, where we had the opportunity to swim with turtles. Despite a brief detour to help some fellow travelers who weren’t feeling well, the experience was nothing short of magical. Swimming alongside these gentle creatures, I felt a profound connection to the ocean, a reminder of why I chose this island life.

Throughout the day, we were treated to a selection of beverages, from refreshing waters to a variety of adult drinks. Lunch was a delicious spread, with the crab salad being a standout. As we made our way back, Captain Mario introduced us to the local delicacy of conch salad, expertly prepared and bursting with flavor.

Reflecting on the day, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to explore the Bahamas in such a unique way.
