Maasai Mara National Reserve - Spend the entire day exploring Maasai Mara in search of the Big Five. Enjoy picnic lunches in the Reserve while admiring the beauty of the Mara. Mara River - Enjoy a picnic lunch in the Mara River area. Take a guided walk along the bank, and if fortunate, spot nesting crocodiles. Maasai Mara Reserve is Kenya’s most popular tourist destination, located in the Great Rift Valley, primarily consisting of open grassland. Wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment, making it a jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. The annual wildebeest migration involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. Visitors are almost guaranteed to see the Big Five. The phenomenal wildebeest migration is a spectacular event unique to Maasai Mara.
Depart Maasai Mara to Nakuru
Ololaimutiek - Enjoy an early morning breakfast before checking out. Before departing, there is an option to visit the local traditional Maasai tribe to learn about their culture and lifestyle. Visit the villages near the accommodation. Then, begin the drive to Nakuru, with lunch at a hotel en route. No game drive will occur in Mara on this day.

Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha/Hell’s Gate
Lake Nakuru National Park - After an early breakfast, depart at 6:30 am directly to the park. This small park is home to magnificent, rare white rhinos, part of the Big Five animals. There is also a chance to see pink flamingos. The game drive lasts 3 hours, followed by a 1-hour drive to Naivasha, arriving in time for lunch at a hotel. After lunch, head to Hell’s Gate for a biking safari, followed by an hour-long boat ride on Lake Naivasha for bird watching and hippo viewing.

Naivasha to Samburu
Samburu National Reserve - After breakfast at the hotel, depart at 7 am for Samburu National Reserve in Northern Kenya. Have lunch en route, arriving in Samburu in time for an evening game viewing. Samburu is renowned for its wild semi-arid landscape and a large concentration of wildlife and birdlife. Along with the adjoining Shaba and Buffalo Springs national reserves, Samburu is known for hosting rare Northern-Kenya animal species (Gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx, and Somali Ostrich) not found in other popular parks and reserves in Kenya. It is also home to all the African big cats (lion, cheetah, and leopard), along with other big game including elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, hippos, impala, waterbuck, and many others.
