Nairobi to Masai Mara

Maasai Mara National Reserve - Begin your safari adventure to Maasai Mara with a pick-up from your chosen accommodation or the airport at 7 a.m. Pause at the Rift Valley viewpoint to admire the escarpments and the expansive plains below. This geographical marvel, formed millions of years ago, stretches from the top of Africa to Mozambique. Arrive at Maasai Mara in time for lunch, followed by an exciting evening game drive at 4 p.m. for two hours.

Rift Valley Province - The Rift Valley is a remarkable geographical expanse, stretching 6,000 km across the Middle East and Africa from Jordan to Mozambique. It showcases a stunning variety of landscapes, including scarps, volcanoes, lakes, ancient granitic hills, flat desert terrains, and coral reefs with islets. The breathtaking view as you approach from Nairobi, Kenya, is truly awe-inspiring. As the ground seems to vanish beneath you, extending thousands of kilometers in both directions, it offers a perfect introduction to the Kenyan Rift Valley. The most captivating part of this experience is delving deeper to explore the Lake System of the Rift.

Full Day Game Drive in Mara

Maasai Mara National Reserve - Embark on a full-day game drive at 7:30 a.m., complete with a picnic lunch, all the way to the Mara River, the site of the great wildebeest migration. Conclude the game drive and return to your lodge by 4 p.m. In the evening, enjoy a visit to a Maasai village to learn about their rich culture for an hour.

Mara River - On this day, journey to the Mara River and enjoy a picnic lunch. This is where the spectacular wildebeest river crossing occurs. The riverbanks are home to numerous resident hippos and crocodiles basking in the sun. The Mara is the stage for one of nature’s most incredible events: the great migration. This annual migration sees millions of wildebeest and zebras move from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture, followed closely by the savanna’s predators – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures.

Mara to Serengeti via Isebania Border

Serengeti National Park - Enjoy breakfast at 6 a.m. before driving to the Tanzania border, a journey of about 3 hours, arriving around midday. Complete the hour-long border crossing process, meet your Tanzanian driver/guide, and proceed to the Serengeti.

Mara Triangle - As you travel to the border, drive through the Mara Triangle side of Maasai Mara, where abundant wildlife grazes along the riverbanks. This area of Maasai Mara is lush with forests and bushy landscapes.

Full Day in Serengeti

Serengeti National Park - Start your day with breakfast at 7 a.m. and embark on a full-day game drive in the Serengeti. Explore the endless open plains and stunning skies of this World Heritage Site, home to diverse wildlife and birdlife. Discover the plains dotted with trees and kopjes, where majestic lions survey their kingdom. Enjoy a picnic lunch at 1 p.m., then return to the camp/lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Serengeti Hippo Pool - Witness large families of hippos residing in this pool near the Seronera area of the Serengeti. It’s a fascinating sight as they compete for limited space and fend off other animals seeking to drink from the pool. This oasis is nestled in the midst of a dry region.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Depart the Serengeti at 7 a.m. for a game drive in a different area of this vast park. Enjoy lunch in the Nabii area before exiting the park. Travel through the conservation area and head to your hotel for an evening of relaxation. The following day, prepare to enter the crater.

Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara

Ngorongoro Crater - Depart early in the morning at 6 a.m. to descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, home to Africa’s highest density of big game. This half-day tour continues until lunchtime, offering the chance to spot rhinos, part of the Big Five. Afterward, depart Ngorongoro and head to the Manyara area.

Lake Manyara to Arusha

Lake Manyara - Begin an early morning half-day game drive in Lake Manyara National Park at 7 a.m.

Venus Premier Hotel - Depart for Arusha, arriving around 4 p.m. Check-in at the Venus Premier Hotel for a relaxing dinner.

Arusha to Nairobi
