Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park

Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch - Guests will be welcomed by the guide driver, who will provide a detailed briefing about the tour before embarking on the adventure.

The journey will take approximately 3 hours, passing through various districts, offering a chance to appreciate diverse cultures and vegetation.

A detour will be made to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking and bird watching, lasting about 2 hours.

A lunch break will be taken in Masindi before continuing to the park to check into the guest lodge for an overnight stay.

Murchison Falls National Park - After checking into the guest lodge, guests will be picked up for an evening game drive, providing an opportunity to see the park’s nocturnal wildlife.

The evening game drive offers stunning sunsets in the wild, ensuring guests don’t miss this beautiful experience.

Animals such as elephants, giraffes, hippos, warthogs, and oribis can be spotted. After the game drive, guests will return to the guest lodge for an overnight stay.

Murchison Falls National Park - An early morning game drive awaits, with a packed snack available if needed. This drive allows guests to see animals not spotted during the evening drive, including climbing lions, antelopes, hartebeests, hippos, and more.

Bird watching is also a highlight, with over 450 bird species, including African darters, ospreys, and kingfishers.

Guests will have ample time to capture memories with photos before returning to the hotel for lunch and preparing for the afternoon boat cruise to the base of the falls.

Depending on preference, guests can either hike to the top of the falls or return by boat to the guest lodge for an overnight stay.

Waterfall Cruises - Murchison Falls - The boat cruise lasts 5 hours, with 3 hours to the falls and 2 hours returning. The journey to the falls is against the water flow, while the return is aided by the water waves.

During the boat cruise, guests will see more wildlife, such as elephants, antelopes, crocodiles, and hippos, as well as various bird species.

The breathtaking views at the base of the falls will be a highlight. Guests can choose to return by boat or hike to the top of the falls and back to the guest lodge for an overnight stay.

Murchison Falls National Park - After breakfast, guests will prepare to check out and either head to another destination or return.

A visit to the top of the falls will reveal the stunning falls crowned with a rainbow, offering a perfect conclusion to the adventure and a deeper appreciation of nature. The top of the falls is unexpectedly located, and the experience is truly awe-inspiring.

Following the falls visit, guests will travel through Masindi for a lunch stop at Kabalega Resort before returning to Kampala or the airport, depending on their schedule, marking the end of the trip.
