Surf Canaries - We usually meet up in the surf school at 9:30 in the morning (depending on the surfing conditions) and have our morning briefing, followed by different theory classes in the surf school class room. Our generic video class is an accumulation of over 10 years of experience in teaching how to surf. It is designed for day-one surfers and people that have surfed before alike.
After learning the basic golden rules, you have the perfect knowledge to succeed in getting up on a surf board. A quick simulation class on the beach and you will be ready to hit the water with your instructor for the first practical session. After the first 50 minutes of surfing we will take a 20 min break to rest up and recharge your batteries before the second session of surfing.
We finalize the day with a photo party in the surf school where we see the pictures of everyone in action. Those pictures will be available for you to download at no additional cost.

We are at the end of the big car park (direction dunes) next to VolcanInk Tattoo Studio. You can either park in the car park or find free of charge parking along the road that circles the car park.

Super experience, a moment you will never forget - It was really a great experience!!! Very friendly and helpful guides. I had never surfed before, but I caught the surfing bug through them. The best surf school - Very friendly team who know the best surf spots to learn at, I made tonnes of progress in 2 days, unfortunately I couldn't stay longer as I ran out of time!

Alot of fun and crashing - First time surfing for me. I knew it wasn't going to be easy, and it wasn't. The instructors really cheered you on and were helpful in getting you going. Clear instructions upfront before heading to the beach. Whilst in the water, they guide you what to do when. Peddle, peddle, peddle, up! If you manage to ride a wave, they celebrate with some fun yelling. Prepare for alot of crashing and sore muscles afterwards. Worth it though!

outstanding day course - Great teachers who showed you how to surf easily. The whole class took place in understandable English. They gave us water and a snack. I would definitely book again.

Highly recommended, such a fun experience! - I did a one day lesson on 9th December and it was absolutely amazing !!! I highly recommend this surf school, the whole team is amazing, I only remember Fran’s name.
They were all so welcoming and fun and felt very safe out in the waves. It was my first ever time surfing and I was standing up a few times.
The photos are such a lovely touch and great to remember the experience.
Definitely hit this place up for a morning of fun 🏄♂️

Great experience! - I had never tried surfing before, and joined a one day course with Surf Canaries after seeing them practice on the beach. The course started with some theory, but quite quickly we moved to the sea. The instructors were very friendly and helpful. Surfing was more difficult than I expected, but with the help of the instructors it was possible to experience some minor success. The only regret is not having done this sooner. I will definitely go surfing again!

Great fun but a little physical - We booked this to “have a go”. Great introduction and very friendly mellow staff. Instruction was good and they take photos constantly to capture your moments. Lovely place to learn. For me it was physical and for my nine year old who is not a confident swimmer it was an experience, and to commend him - be kept on trying despite not liking getting his head wet when coming off ( everyone does).
Mellow attitude and no significant changing rooms is the only thing they could improve with some better instructions - might be obvious to most, but come already dressed to surf in your trunks and sanded! E we drove and parked and we’re not ready. Both had a lovely time.
