• Ait Ben Haddou - We will begin our Day Tour from Marrakech to Ait Benhaddou and Ouarzazate at 7:45 am.

Along the way, enjoy the spectacular views that the valleys of the atlas Mountain, and Berber villages, As we move southwards, the mountainous landscape transforms into semi-desert. In this area we will visit the famous Kasbah ait ben Haddou declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of the best preserved fortified cities the country.Its unique architecture and environment has made it the ideal filming choice for many film and series production filming. Some of the movies and TV shows in which we have viewed this fantastic kasbah include Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Babel, Prince of Persia, The Mummy, and, of course, Game of Thrones (it is the city that Daenerys Targaryan releases in the last chapter of the 3rd season).

• Ouarzazate - We will continue our journey to Ouarzazate City and we will visit the Atlas Films Studios, where many scenes of the movies mentioned have been recorded.

Located within the Hollywood of Morocco, Atlas Film Studios allows visitors to encounter famous film sets . Elsewhere in Ouarzazate is the maze-like Taourirt Kasbah (which has also served as a cinematic backdrop)

• Musee du Cinema - we continue our day tour to visit the Cinema Museum opened in 2007, the cinema museum is housed in a former studio build by an Italian film production company in 1981. The museum exhibits collection of old film sets, props and cinematic equipment.
  Located opposite Taourirt Kasbah, it is a convenient alternative if you can’t visit the Atlas Studio.

We will begin our picturesque movie journey on the so-called ‘route of a thousand Kasbahs’. This iconic pathway starts from Marrakesh, traverses the Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate, and features landscapes that have appeared in numerous motion pictures. As you approach Ouarzazate, the sight of the fortified town of Ait Benhaddou comes into view, which seems to arrest time with its appearance that mirrors the 11th century. The russet-hued Kasbah has been the setting for various movies, including ‘The Mummy’, ‘Lawrence of Arabia’, and ‘Jesus of Nazareth’. It was an ideal fit for Ridley Scott’s ‘Gladiator’, and effortlessly suited for Season 3 of ‘Game of Thrones’, often referred to by fans as ‘the Moroccan season’.
In more contemporary times, it was featured in one of the locations for David Attenborough’s ‘A Life On Our Planet’. Presently, a handful of families reside in this UNESCO World Heritage site, with the majority of the people having relocated to an updated village on the other side of the Ounila River. In spite of its cinematic fame, it still serves as a residence to some.
