Relaxing and fun - The boat ride was super nice and chill. There are several stops and it’s a hop on - hop off kind of ride. The whole trip is about 2 hours and has very beautiful view of the lake, trees and houses/chalets surrounding it. There is also a beach in the area and places where you can grab an ice cream or a hot dog. We had lunch at the glass green houses with botanical view where the menu was much diverse (included burgers, sandwiches, salads, coffee and beverages) and the food was perfect for such trip. The location of this restaurant is right vis-à-vis of the boat ride start, just go up the stairs.

A fantastic and relaxing boat tour - After a good picnic it was time to relax and enjoy the wonderful lake and the fantastic nature around the lake. There are 5 stops, and the ticket is only for one day, but you can hop on and off all day. The tour around the whole lake is appr. 2 hours. There are many nice sceneries at this lake and you can see Zealands highest tree, a pine tree of 47 meters, and it has been standing there since 1763. Going by car the easiest way to catch the boat is at Frederiksdal, where you find restaurants and small shops for snacks and ice cream. Going by S-train you drive to Holte and have a little walk to Holte Sø(Lake), where you have a cafe with tables and chair outside. There is no possibillity for buying drink and food onboard, so you are welcome to bring yourself. The boat sail every Saturday and Sunday and National Holidays from April 13th to September 15th. A timetable you can find on their homepage. I hope, you will enjoy this boat tour as much as I did.

Nice boat tour - Since it was a chilly, damp day they lent us some blankets which made all the difference. A very nice tour with nice people.
