Rain or shine, we kayak - It was quite the adventure today. Rain and more rain but so worth it. Noah was so fun to kayak with, sharing lots of good facts. Overall a great time!!

Cool - I believe it's a family own business. Our guide was Noah who was super nice and patient with my family. The river was really low in some spots so e didn't make it to the island but ultimately it was a really cool experience.

Great trip - I recently booked this kayaking trip and had an amazing experience. The scenery was beautiful, the water was calm, and the entire trip was both relaxing and exciting. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, making everyone feel safe and comfortable regardless of experience level. What I enjoyed most was being able to slow down, take in nature, and spend time on the water. The equipment was in great condition, and the overall organization of the trip was excellent. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a fun outdoor adventure or just a peaceful day on the water. I’m already looking forward to coming back!

A peaceful trip on the river. - Weather was not our friend this week. They communicated with us and we pushed our start a couple hours and avoided the lingering rains, which we appreciated. The rains chased away most of the wildlife but we still enjoyed our time on the river. It was great to get away for a peaceful paddle and this a definitely something we’d do again if back in town. Thanks for the great trip.

Nice, calm river to kayak - It is a nice site-they have a cute petting zoo and the bathrooms and changing areas are good. The layout is very nice with shaded areas. They had very good service as well. It was easy to get on the river and the employees were very nice and helpful. The only point I would make is that the title Of the tour says kayaking to a private island. It is accurate, but it gave me the impression we would kayak to the island and be allowed to explore. This is not the case. You go up one side of the river for the first half ( about 45 minutes) and then you go up the other side where this island resides (although it looks no different than the banks of the river we just paddled by) and he points to it and explains who owns it. We just rest there for a few minutes and paddle back to the tour place. I’d say the total time, including getting the life jackets and training was about 1.5 hours.

River kayak - Natasha was a good guide. She helped those with no kayak experience learn how to paddle and navigate the River. It was an easy paddle down and back. We saw turtles, an Ibis, herons, egrets and black ducks. It wasn’t exciting but it was a good way to spend the morning.

Do this. - I love to kayak and this was a nice kayak tour. Beautiful river! Not much water current, but that's the kind of tour you'll get in this neck of the woods. River Island Adventures is a great, laid back company. Clean, well-kept grounds, clean kayaks, very pleasant staff. The guides, like Noah, are very knowledgeable about the area and it's history. I would have gone on their other tours as well if I had the time.
