- Praca Luis de Camoes - Camões is the main poet in the Portuguese language, and it is in the square named after him that we will begin our tour.
Praça de Camões is the ideal spot to understand the geography of Chiado and develop navigation skills in the Chiado neighborhood.
If we turn downwards, towards the Tagus river, we see the riverside area, where the Timeout market, Pink street, the Cais do Sodré train station for those who want to take the train to Cascais, or the ferry boat to the other side of the river.
Rotating counter clockwise we see Largo do Chiado itself and the upper part of Garrett Street, where we will later spend part of our walk.
Continuing to rotate, we have Bairro Alto, bohemian Lisbon, the Church of Saint Rock (the most decorated in Lisbon) and the viewpoint São Pedro de Alcântara.
- Access to Santa Justa’s observation platform
I’m a retired individual who has taken it upon himself to share the magic of Lisbon with those who entrust me with their invaluable time.
This tour includes a trip to a lookout point that will offer you a comprehensive view of the city. The idea behind exploring these vantage points is to build some navigational familiarity, inspiring you with a plethora of activity suggestions for your subsequent days.
As is typical with walking tours, historical references and context are integrated. However, what sets us apart are the subtle differences, the attention to detail, the enjoyable trivia, and the hidden treasures that we’ll discover together. It’s not merely a history lecture. Instead, it’s an entertaining and laid-back exploration.
The ultimate goal of this tour is to inspire our guests in such a way that they’ll be eager to return.
