Lisbon hop on/off - Took combo ticket for 2 bus routes & boat, didn't have time for other activities that were included. Got to see so much of the city & lots of information

We start every new city we visit in the world by doing Hop on/off, one of the last real bargains in travel today! - Excellent way to get a city overview at a bargain. Friendly and helpful staff guided us along even with our lack of speaking ANY Portuguese. This has been true in every country and language.

Lot of ride and views for money - The ticket information did not make it clear where to pick up bus. Finally found a ticket booth and was directed to walk another five blocks to bus pick up point. Once on the bus the tour took us through the older part of the city. Returning to the starting point we picked up the bus that toured the modern part of the city. The contrast is amazing.

Good but not perfect - We did two bus tours in one day and a river cruise tour the next. The tour routes were all very good; but the Belem tour, which was our first one, really disappointed us because the audio narration quit working about a third of the way through and didn’t restart until shortly before the tour ended. And this was the more historical tour, which made it more important to me! Yellow Bus really should know how to make it work by now! Everything else went smoothly and we enjoyed the experience; however, they should really provide better instructions for the embarkation point for the boat tour. The dock is part of a pretty big complex and no directions, instructions or map of where to go were provided. In a foreign country where not everyone is proficient in English, this was unduly stressful. Signage at the dock was nonexistent. I think the Yellow Bus management should imagine sending their own grandparents to accomplish the task. Many of us seniors take these tours in order to reduce the stress of travel. Getting to the starting point should not be a challenge

Took both tours, Great value - Great tour of the city. We did both the pink and the blue bus lines. Very interesting. The buses run all the time and there was plenty of room on the bus. Great tour. We didn't have time for the trams or the boat. Great value.

Hop On and Off is a must do - So much to see.Having a two day pass is a must. Take rain gear everyday. The day may start out clear then comes the rain. Unfortunately for me, the water was rather rough, so I didn't do the boat ride. If you start off in center city, make time to spend a few hours there.

Poorly organized.. - The only thing I didn't like is that on the first stop, when we were changing to the Modern (purple) like, they made people waiting on the direct sun for too long, there were more than enough people to fill the bus but they just didn't care and we asked when will it go, they said we don't know.. the bus was just standing there good 25minutes.
The Boat was the best experience.. on the bus, not much to see. The lady selling the tickets on the first stop was rude. We tried to ask some questions from her twice, both time she said wait and ignored us. There was a young man, he was trying to help. It was on 30.09.23

Too much music not enough information - The audio kept cutting out and we missed vital parts of the commentary. It was difficult to find the first bus stop without a map. Once we were able to pick one up on the bus it was better.

Gives a good idea of what to see in the city. Tickets can be bought on the bus so no need to book in advance - AS with all hop on, hop off tours these are a good way to get an idea of the city you are visiting and decide where you may want to explore further.
We did this same tour when we visited in April 2023, but did again in September when visiting with family who had not been to Lisbon before.
We used the bus for the whole trip and then the following day to go to Belem, that was fine. But the return journey from Belem not so good. There was no clear indication when a bus would arrive. Per the tracking app it seemed to be stuck at the 25 April bridge. But the red tour buses came through Ok. When the bus did arrive it was standing room only. This was surprising, particularly as it turned out there were two more almost empty yellow buses close behind. Which had we seen we would have waited for those. We were just using it for our return journey, but if you were getting on the bus for the first time, i was very poor. The driver surely must have been aware there were other buses close behind? So not impressed by that.

BIG Disappointment - Big Disappointment. Traveling with family 7 people (total 2 are 78 yrs old. ) As recommended by travel agent we went on Monday. We started at 9 am and were off on last bus run. Most Museums were closed which we found out when we disembarked. When asking drivers for information all 3buses we used were very abrupt. We were told came every 30 minutes it was more 45 to 1 hour no shade or benches available to wait…,,5 bussed were shown on the live route app. App says 3 minutes away and never shows. When got the buses they are over crowded had to sit lower level no ac or open windows for air circulation. Tried taking yellow boat which is extra and due to lack of busses missed the delay and had 2 1/2 h wait. Then missed bus’s for next stop had hour wait Very uncomfortable especially for older adults after standing in sun for 45 min to hour. Never got to use modern Lisbon route as bus never came. After 1hour wait we took last Belem bus so we could at least get nearer to our hotel. Wasted most of day waiting for the bus. Not a true hop on off ride. Better pay little more and have tour where you can get off and on
