Much more comfortable than the overcrowded 28 tram. - Took this tour from Praca do Comércio at lunchtime on a Wednesday in July. The driver was really friendly and there were several spare seats. The route covers a significant portion of the iconic 28 tram route (but not all) with multi language commentary through earpieces. It was very comfortable and gave a good experience. It is not a hop on, hop off service. The red tram runs a circular route (just over an hour in length). I later got on a Yellow 28 tram and could see next to nothing due to the number of standing passengers. The red tram is obviously a higher priced option, but you will get a feeling for the number 28 service. Highly recommended.

Quaint way to learn about Lisbon - Beautiful way to see areas of the city. It was a comfortable ride and wasn’t packed with people. Enjoyed hearing about the history along the way. Definitely recommend.

Brief good experience - It was a great way to get around and see different sites around town some hills. Feels short just one hour but sufficient to get the experience. I recommend buying in person because I bought online through Viator and it was much more expensive. It’s nice to get the 24-hour access to elevator, funicular and trams included. I recommend buying in person from arch in plaza of commerce

It's a must-do. - For a daily pass for €7 you can travel in these antique trams allowing to visit the city, and in addition it falls full access to the food and bus to move elsewhere in the city.

Worth paying extra for a ride in the famous Tram 28 Route - Wanted to experience the famous Lisbon Tram, especially around the districts like Alfama and avoid the long queue with the yellow 28E tram, paid more for comfort and audio guide. The bonus is the ticket gets you free ride on Santa Justa Elevator, funiculars and public trams!

Tram 28 Lisbon Tour - We booked tram 28 for 13.00 pm. It took 2 hours to get in the blazing sun!! Also no audio guide in the tram as actually included in the program. During the trip we found that this is actually a normal public tram anyone can board wherever. One day ticket would cost only 7 euros. We paid 15 euros for a tour ticket. So dear tourists, don't touch this tour. Just buy a day ticket and enjoy whatever you want in Lisbon.

Don’t bother - We first did this trip in 2024 and really enjoyed it. Back in Lisbon in 2025 we thought we’d do it again - big mistake. This year it is about half the length of last year - the whole second section is missing. Also, the trip operates in reverse, so you approach the cathedral from the back, not the front, for example. Such a shame, don’t waste your money, we wish we hadn’t.
