  • Veerabhadra Swamy Temple - We explore this 16th century masterpiece of Vijaynagara style of architecture. First in line is the section called Mukha Mandapa which served as the venue for dance and other cultural activities. We then visit the Artha Mandapa where the King did his worship and where the Garbha Griha houses the deity. What follows is a unique wedding hall made from grey sandstone with 38 carved monolithic pillars where Lord Shiva and Lady Parvati were supposed to have got married in antiquity!
  • Lepakshi Bull - India’s largest Nandi Bull statue beckons us at Lepakshi. Made from a single granite block this statue stands 15 feet tall and 27 feet long. We can marvel at the bejeweled Nandi who wears a kaasu malai, a bell chain, earrings and other jewelry!

Fantastic experience - I was there with a friend and colleague from work. We took a day off to visit Lepakshi from Bangalore. The organization was perfect, Vignesh (an exceptional guide) explained the history of Lepakshi main temple with great detail. We were amazed both by the beauty of the temple and the kindness of the guide. I am still thinking of the floating pillar! I strongly recommend the visit with 5 senses tour

Excellent Service - Mr Madhusadhan Narayan was our driver / guide despite he being a senior executive of his company. He drove us in his own extremely well matained SUV/MPV. We found him to be very knowledgeable and painstaking in explaining some of the history and not. commonly known legends. We would highly recommend Five Senses Tour to anyone who desire high quality service. It also turned out very late in our trip that his cousin happened to know my wife very well.

Fantastic day out to Lepakshi - I had signed up for the day trip to Lepakshi near Bangalore. It was an amazing day and very well spent exploring a temple lost to the modern world. My guide Ravi was very good and professional. He was friendly and knowledgeable. We saw ancient architecture which was mind-boggling. There was a stone pillar which was floating below. We also saw fascinating murals on the temple walls made using vegetable dyes. Ravi also told us interesting stories about the mysteries behind the temple. The lunch was local and very delicious. This is an amazing day out from Bangalore and highly recommended.

Beautiful architecture and ancient painting - I had visited Bangalore a few times and was now looking for a day trip to any ancient monument. I found Five Senses Tours on TripAdvisor and was reassured by the raving reviews. I signed up on the Lepakshi day trip to temples and paintings. The tours was outstanding and our guide Satish was excellent. We saw a giant status of a bull and the a 600 year old temple. The engineering was outstanding with a massive stone pillar which was hanging! We also fell in love with the paintings on the walls and ceilings of the temple hall. Satish told us so much about the history and culture of this region that we thoroughly enjoyed the day. Very highly recommended.

A day out at Lepakshi - Lepakshi is a perfect fit for a day s picnic in near by place around Bengaluru. It's hardly 1-1:30 hr journey from Bengaluru. There are mainly 3 tourist spots to cover- 1. Veerabhadra temple - Ancient temple with architectural importance. A big shivalingam in temple area and a hanging pillar inside the temple are main attractions here. There areToilets besides the temple area and are in good condition. 2. Jatayu theme park- a big scuplture of Jatayu on top of the hill with a nice landscape garden around the rock. It is a picnic spot for visitors. People usually carry their lunch boxes, mats and have a nice picnic lunch here. 3. Large monolithic bull- it's just opposite to Jatayu theme park. Can be covered quickly. Major drawback here's is no descent restaurants in nearby area. Only one Aptdc restaurant is there near bull statue. So best way is to carry your own food and have a nice picnic in theme park after visiting all points. It's a good , refreshing gateway for a day from monotonic routine life in Bengaluru.
